This is a stunning example of what graphic novels should be. If you are new to the world of graphic novels, I suggest you use this as your standard to compare all others against. The writing and art work are done by some of the most renowned graphic novel professionals in the field (if not The Most Renowned) and their collaboration is nothing less than brilliant. As a huge fan of the Dark Tower series, I was extremely gratified to find that the writing style of the graphic novel is in perfect keeping with that of the book series. The storyline would be great even if you were unfamiliar with the novels, but for anyone who has read The Dark Tower and loves the characters, the backstory contained in the graphic novel is fantastic. Obviously, I love this collection. Highly recommended. Enjoy.
