5 of 5 Best professional performance mouse pad!!! Monday, August 18, 2008 A Customer from Concord, CA
I paired the steelseries I-2 with a G5 mouse and have not experienced better performance in accuracy. I run dual monitors and can precisely point and click my target with the smoothest wrist movements on each monitor. Easy to clean and looks nice. Only drawback is the price for a piece of frosted glass. Probably cost a mere fraction to make of what it retails for. Worth the money if your serious about mouse performance. 5 of 5 Best mousepad I could ever use Tuesday, July 01, 2008 Andrew Merskin from Cheyenne, WY
The Steelseries I-2 Mousepad absolutely phenomenal. The performance smooth and as accurate as you can get, even with mice that have worn skates on the bottom of them.

Not only does it perform well, but it's gorgeous. Being a lover of glass, smoked glass is one of my favorites. The finish is perfect. Not one blemish. You can't see fingerprints on the top surface, so it looks good all the time.

Another bonus is that it's easy to clean. Standard mousepads must be washed rigorously in order to remove all of the dirt that collects over time, making your mouse experience slow and annoying. Cleaning this, as with all glass, is as simple as getting a wet cloth and wiping it off.

I have tried Optical and Laser mice on this mousepad, both resulting in exceptional performance.

I play a lot of First Person Shooters such as CounterStrike: Source, and I have noticed that my ability to aim has improved a lot because of the large size and the accuracy of the glass surface.

That being said, prolonged use (in gaming instances) is no problem. I recently went to a LAN party that lasted around 9 hours, and I used this pad in complete comfort. The edges of this mousepad are smooth, and low enough to the desk that I have experience no discomfort at all. It's large enough to have your whole hand on it and use the mouse without any trouble. I actually use two mice on it quite frequently without having to move them out of the way. 12" x 10" is a large surface, don't underestimate its size if you decide to buy it.

As a gamer, I guarantee that you will love this mousepad. It it well worth the money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Incredible Surface Sunday, June 15, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
For the past 3 years I used Logitech mice (MX500, 518, and a G5) on a fUnc 1030 surface. I was very satisfied with the performance I got, less one notable problem: the texture kept wearing out on the pad. When I noticed that the I-2 is made of glass, I immediately thought it would solve my problem.
After a week's use, I am incredibly happy with the I-2. Paired with a G5 mouse, there is almost no friction at all. The static friction (to move from rest) is especially improved. Not only is the performance better, but I believe a glass surface will last much longer and be easier to clean. It shouldn't absorb dirt or oil like textured plastic pads. The size is perfect, as well. And if you're worried (like I was) about the "grinding noise" some others have reported, there is no such thing. Brush the dirt off every so often and the pad is nearly silent.
If you are looking for a new gaming surface, you're not going to find anything better than the I-2. Don't let the price turn you away - this thing is worth it. Was this review helpful?
