| SteelKeys 6G is a professional gaming keyboard, designed exclusively for hardcore gamers. SteelKeys 6G utilizes gold plated connectors to deliver a very durable and extremely responsive gaming keyboard.
All keys on the SteelKeys 6G are designed to endure a life cycle of up to 60 million keystrokes, all connectors are gold plated with 18K gold to ensure low latency and allows for fast and reliable response times even when using detailed and advanced key combinations.
SteelKeys 6G allows for a maximum of 8 simultaneous key presses, when the used keys are divided evenly across 4 different sectors in keyboard.
To further enhance the look, feel and performance of SteelKeys 6G an extra keyset for all standard sized keys is included in the package. The extra keyset is held in a neutral grey color and helps eliminate the risk of performing unwanted keystrokes in the heat of the game.
The Mechanical Tactile System is ergonomically designed to ensure ease-of-use and the no-click switches makes SteelKeys 6G very comfortable to use. All keys are operated at 65g making the keyboard ideal for long gaming sessions.
SteelKeys 6G is furthermore designed to withstand the strains of transportation, making it an optimal keyboard for gamers who frequent LAN-events. The casing is made of very durable thermoplastic and all keys are face plate mounted to a solid metal surface.
SteelKeys 6G was originally developed for a game called o2 Jam, and has since then been optimized further for Real Time Strategy games. We primarily recommend this keyboard for RTS and MMO-games, like Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft.
There is a big difference between playing a game like Warcraft 3 and a game like Counter-Strike. In Warcraft 3 key presses are usually rapid, in order to micro-manage units. When playing Counter-Strike the player needs to use up to 5 keys simultaneously, an example would be forward, strafe, crouch, push-to-talk and reload.
The feedback we get from the gaming-community, is that SteelKeys 6G is a great keyboard for MMO-games and RTS-games (it was optimized for the later). It is also perfectly suitable for certain FPS-games, like Quake 4, where the player mainly uses the keyboard to control movement and switch weapons.
