It's important for buyers to be aware that this is not really a "card reader" like most of of are used to. It is intended to be used to boot a removable operating system or as a second hard drive with big CF cards, since the instructions say to remove or install a CF card only when the computer is powered down, and that damage may occur to the card or reader if you do otherwise. I found this out after I purchased and returned it.
