Supporting the latest generation of SATA storage up to 1.5 Terabyte (1.5TB) drives, this eSATA/USB External Dual SATA Hard Drive Enclosure lets you get the most out of your external data solution, with support for a broad range of RAID applications including RAID 0, RAID 1, BIG(JBOD), SAFE33 & SAFE55.

To ensure maximum versatility, the Dual SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure (SAT3520U2ER) can be connected to a host computer using either eSATA or USB 2.0, and features built-in port multiplier support, allowing both of the installed SATA hard drives to be connected using a single eSATA connection to your computer (if using an eSATA connection).

The SAT3520U2ER features a sturdy aluminum casing, to help protect installed SATA hard drives and their valuable data content from in-transit damage, while providing maximum heat dissipation.

Using Terabyte hard drives? Don’t expose your Hard Drive and valuable data to unnecessary heat! The SAT3520U2ER includes a large, built-in 50mm fan that re-distributes the heat build-up generated as a result of typical drive operation, which is especially important when using terabyte hard drives, and faster “spinning"" drives (i.e 7200 RPM), as it can help optimize drive operability and in turn preserve stored data integrity.

5 of 5 Bullseye Tuesday, June 23, 2009
Sean from New York, NY

With a world full of garbage drive enclosures, it was nice to find this little jewel. I had zero problems setting it up. The fan is whisper quiet. Throughput is not in any way perturbed by the enclosure so whatever your drives can push, you'll get it. Absolutely problem free, and believe me, I beat the noodle out of these drives 24/7/365.25. I can finally stop messing with my hardware setup and just enjoy it.

5 of 5 A Real Winner Sunday, April 19, 2009
Rich from Snellville, GA
I have two 500GB WD SATA drives in the InfoSafe and have used both the USB (on my laptop) and eSATA (on my PC) interfaces successfully. Very reasonable transfer speeds on both with eSATA running at the same speed as my internal SATA drives. I am using JBOD mode and the only "surprise" was the loading the eSATA driver support for JBOD which my XP system (Nvidia-based MBO) did automatically. The fan isn't quiet, but with two drives in the case, it needs to be on. No temp sensor in the enclosure which would have been nice but the case runs cool with the fan on. Some day the S.M.A.R.T. mode will be accessible on these remote drives. I had the drives installed and the box running in less than 5 minutes. (The drives were already formatted w/ data from another system) I highly reccomend this product. It's only slightly bigger than the two physical drives.
