2 of 5 Not for monitors/TV that only accepts Digital Sign Monday, May 28, 2007 A Customer from Baltimore, MD
I have an LCD TV that only has a single link DVI-D plug in the back. It only accepts digital signals, but my onboard video card only has VGA-out. So I bought this thinking if I can connect the two together, the TV can automatically convert analog signal to digital. I was wrong. It only accepts digital signal. This adapter only allows you to connect the VGA and DVI interface together, but the signal that your video card sends out is the same (for me it was analog signal). Your monitor/TV will only accept signals it is designed for, so unless your monitor/TV can accept both digital and analog signal, this adapter is useless. I just bought a new video card which outputs digital signal and that solved my problem. Was this review helpful?
