I bought it because my old Dell PC did not have a USB 2.0 support. Its a good product and works fine with the motherboard. Shipping of the product was fast. I'm quite happy to see my data transfer to a pendrive; external hard drive and external DVD RAM atleast 5-6 times faster!! Was this review helpful?

As usual, anything I've purchased from buy.com was delivered sooner than expected.
The USB.2 card was easy to install (just pull the old one out and stick the new one in). I expected it to about double the speed of transferring to my external and DVD drives, but found it to be around six times faster. Was this review helpful?

I connected my external Maxtor 4 external 500 GB USB 2.0 hard drive, and the write speed almost doubled from a previous 2.0 card. BUY.COM shipping is also kick butt speed. Card was easy to set up, just install and turn on the PC and let XP do the rest. Used on an older machine that had a mini HD hooked up and took for ever to boot or copy to. After installing it boots quickly and saving files to the mini HD goes quite fast. This is a cheap performance enhancement that is easy to do. Was this review helpful?

Be careful not to be pulled in by the words 'mac plug and play' in the title of this product or the fact that it says it is mac compatable. It only works with os 10.2.8-10.2.9, a very narrow window of time for macs and not at all current. I discovered this too late and only from the site of the manufacturer when I had problems using it.
Buy.com should be more specific in their descriptions. It is misleading to say 'mac compatable' and list all of the compatable windows based os's specifically. Oh well, just thought I could save someone else the headache. Was this review helpful?
