3 of 5 Just what my 8-yr old expected. Saturday, December 06, 2008 Sharon from Virginia Beach
Exactly what we expected. Not better, not worse. Good for any Star Wars fan. Novelty of spring action wears off quickly. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 My nephew loved it! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Rozanna from Arkansas
Great gift item for boys 4 to 10 Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 These are great! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Amanda from Chicago
I bought a Darth Vader and a Luke Skywalker one for my two nephews, ages 7 and 9. They love them! These lightsabers are not as heavy-duty or realistic as some of the ones I've seen, but they are also quite a bit more affordable. For as rogh as my nephews play withh them, I'm glad I didn't spring for more expensive versions. This have held up really well so far. A great value for a great bargain! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Close to the real thing! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Deanna from eastern shore
My three year old son received three light sabers for Christmas and the Dath Vader and Obi Wan extending ones are his favorites. Love the automatic extending feature though he has trouble pushing the button and I usually have to do it for him. The humming sound and clashing sounds make it very realistic for him. This light saber is great!! Perfect for any child who loves Star Wars (or any superhero)! Great sound effects, force action, and it lights up! Couldn't ask for better. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 DANGEROUS Saturday, December 06, 2008 JACK from CT
Found the spring loaded to be too fast and dangerous if pointed at another child or adult it could seriously hurt someone if hit in the face took it away and actually threw it out Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Durable and fun Saturday, December 06, 2008 Starwars Mom from NH
Got these for Christmas, The kids love them very durable and do not eat up batteries like the vibrating version. These are played with every day and we are still on the 1st set of batteries. Has a humming noise and a clashing upon impact with each other. When the wand expands (spring loaded, released with a slide button) it sounds like the official light sabor in the movies... 2 of 5 Not as Good as Expected Saturday, December 06, 2008 Kimberly from Connecticut
Expected the spring action or force action of the light saber to be more smooth than it is. Many times it gets stuck and won't go in or out smoothly. The glow is not very bright and the swoosh sound is barely audible. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Caused injuries on face Saturday, December 06, 2008 Suzanne from Erie, PA
The first day my 7 year-old son played with this, he was looking at how to use the spring action and it shot up and gave him a black eye (no exaggeration). The second day, he did it again (it's the way he has to hold it in order to press it open at the same time) and injured himself between the eyes at the top of his nose - it looked as though he was just in a brawl. I took it away and will return it this week with an explanation. I am also writing reviews for every store that carries the product - as moms we just want to protect our kids from harm - just buy the non-spring loaded light sabers and you can prevent something similar from happening! 4 of 5 my 10 year old loved it Saturday, December 06, 2008 Rebecca from New York
Great value and the lightsaber did everything that he wanted - he is thrilled, don't spend a fortune on more expensive lightsabers unless you are collecting them. Was this review helpful?
