General Martok regains a ship, but his crew's morale has been destroyed by a series of punishing losses at the hands of the Jem'Hadar. Martok along with Worf, Dax and the dispirited crew set search for the Klingon vessel B'Moth, missing near the Cardassian border. When they find the crippled ship, Martok fears the Jem'Hadar has left it behind as a trap. When Martok refuses to let the crew rescue the survivors, Worf realizes Martok is paralyzed by fear and reluctantly decides to challenge him for control of the ship.

After a series of losses at the hands of the Jem'Hadar, Martok and his beaten crew begin a search for the missing Klingon vessel B'moth, near the Cardassian border. They find the the craft, but Martok fears that the Jem'Hadar have left it as a trap. When he refuses to let the crew look for survivors, Worf attempts to take control of the the ship.
