5 of 5 The way to go... Wednesday, February 27, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
Pros: great overall laptop stand for DJs; solid construction; easy to set up; space for laptop and hard drive/etc; folds into record-size carrying case (included); best stand for the price (some others go for as high as $300).
Cons: mine came with only 1 zip-tie (it was supposed to come with 2), but I guess you can pick those up at any hardware supply store; it sits a little low (close to the mixer) and the height of stand is not adjustable. Was this review helpful?

The Stanton Uberstand is an attractive, firm, durable, space-saving laptop and hardware vertical displacement unit. For those using Traktor, Final Scratch, or the ever popular Serato Scratch Live, the height-adjustable shelf is invaluable, equipped with wide slots to strap any slippy device down in place. The Uberstand comes in a zippered bag which holds the sum of its parts, a single reusable zip-tie as well as a strip of heavy duty velcro to affix the top of the stand to the underside of a laptop.

Preferably, laying down an adhesive rubber strip on the laptop rack would be a less intrusive way of keeping your computer in place. Additionally, gravity is the Uberstand's friend. If any impact comes from beneath, the shelf can become dislodged from its 3-pin housing, possibly spilling onto gear during a potential mix. Also, if the impact is great enough, the laptop can fall too. BUT, this is the best stand available on the market for laptops. It's tall, portable, and easy to use. Minus some minor flaws, it is all I'll ever use until they update it or someone develops repulser lifts to keep my stuff in check. I highly recommend it. Was this review helpful?
