To hear Cyril Neville's spine-tingling take on "Wrapped Around Your Finger" is to hear this haunting song again for the first time. Likewise Horace Andy's rendition of "Invisible Sun," which reveals new depths of both sorrow and uplifting radiance. Though not a reggae artist, Joan Osborne sounds game and thoroughly convincing on a version of "Every Breath You Take" that redeems the over-exposed song and takes it to new places. Part of the proceeds of this delightful tribute album goes to an international youth services program. |
