This tripod feels very sturdy yet its legs are not as bulky as some. When collapsed, it is very small. Many of the parts are metal, but the parts that are plastic are high quality plastic. The top swivels smoothly without any jerking motions. I’m not sure, but I would imagine that a professional with a large heavy camera would not be able to use this tripod, but for someone with a camcorder that need easy portability and good quality I would recommend this. I use this tripod with my DSLR Sony A300 + Telezoom lens and this tripod, has no trouble with the weight. So Far it's a little tricky to adjust but once you get familiar, it's trouble free.
The Plus--- Light weight, small.
The Minus-- lack of carry bag,lack of angle marks.
But I will recommend this tripod to anyone. If you are following this one, don't think twice go for it.
