5 of 5 sony reader Wednesday, April 29, 2009
A Customer from Issaquah, WA

This is a great device. We download directly from our library in PDF and can read at our leisure. Easy to see and read using the magnification feature. At the price, it's hard to beat.

4 of 5 digital books Tuesday, December 30, 2008
A Customer from Elk Grove Village, IL
Brought this over Kindle due to it's physical design and deliver time (Kindle was on 2 months back order). Choose this over Model 700 for it's price. The market for digital books are still in its infancy. There is a version for smart phones. Sony and Amazon each also has their own DRM. So you can't buy books from other vendors. I hope the industry can come to an agreement soon so each of them can just concentrate on what they are good at. Amazon do offer better service - free samples on books, also offer magazines and newspapers (limited choices for now). Since electronic devises don't last forever (manufacturers upgrade devices all the time), I went with cheapest deal I can find. Hope by the time I need to replace my reader, either Sony improved their add-on service or Amazon improved their Kindle.

5 of 5 I love this gadget! Thursday, October 16, 2008
A Customer from Keyser, WV
I haven't had this reader for very long, but so far I love it! I have downloaded several books and have read a few. I love the size of the reader, the look, and the feel. Also, the battery life is great - I haven't had to charge it yet! I am very pleased with this purchase. I am a loyal Sony customer. I now have a camera, a camcorder, and a digital reader.

4 of 5 Great,but for a couple things Sunday, February 17, 2008
A Customer from Cumming, GA
This product works great. does look just like a book. On the performance it's hard to tell whether it's actually turned on because of delays in startup and nothing showing up on screen. Also, it would be much better if it had better compatibility with various ebook standards. Especially mobipocket. The payoff is this is much lower price/feature set of other ebook readers and Sony has a fairly good bookstore.
