4 of 5 Sony's still a fine product with these headphones Monday, July 07, 2008

I thought they were very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust out of the box to my liking. I'm old school and haven't bought headphones in years, so I guess my "value" score reflects a little price shock for products now-a-days. But they sounded very good and the bass response was a nice treat compared to the crapo earbuds that are proliferating the planet right now. The best sound is with the noise canceling turned 'off', however the noise canceling is very good when activated for tuning out external distractions (but when activated, bass response seems to drop off a bit). I'm sure they would be excellent to wear on an airplane for the noise canceling effect though. I was a little disappointed in the length of the cord connector (another foot or two would have been ideal for me). Over-all, I'm a happy camper with these for now. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased these from Buy.com and am in love with these headphones. They reproduce sound with such clarity. I previously had the Bose on ear headphones. I purchased those because I did not like the quiet comforts from Bose (they put a lot of pressure on the ear from the noise cancelling, like flying in a plane). i returned the Bose headphones because I was not pleased with the bass capabilities on them. They sounded too soft and tiny on most tracks. These Sonys have excellent noise cancellation. You can use them with or without the NC feature on. I recommend leaving it on. They are beautiful looking. As I said earlier, they reproduce sound very richly. The bass is tight and sounds as intended. My only complaint with these is that they do not come in a hard case. The case it comes with is nice and padded, but just would like a hard case for travel. Was this review helpful?

I expect nothing less from Sony, and I was very pleased. The sound quality is exellent. The noise cancelling feature should work fine -- haven't had a chance to try it "in the air" yet. Highly Recommended Was this review helpful?

I thought that I was ordering a set for on the ear instead of around the ear.
I checked them out and they worked just as expected with my Zune MP3. I am still waiting to see how they work when I take my next trip on a plane. Walking around my neighborhood they work great.
I really like the feature where I can disengage the noise reduction when I am trying to talk with someone. Was this review helpful?
