    I bought this for recording a group in night parades my Sony does have night vision but I needed a boost. I put this on my Sony camcoder went into my very dark basement where there is no light at all and turned it on to see the quality. It was like night and day. When I looked through my view finder it was like seeing daylight.That was using the 2 "AA" batteries, I now ordered the regular battery and charger for this. If someone says this does not work either they got a bad unit or do not know how to use it. Also the manual comes in many languages that helps. It does work and I recommend it.
