Great sound from the tv area. I didn't want an involved system. No way do you get a surround sensation, but it is a small room environment. Only problem is that it is too new to have the correct codes to learn to my Dish Network sat remote. That isn't Sony's fault, it is a problem with Dish

We were looking for a unit to go in our winter condo where we have a superb 1080 40 inch TV which has terrible sound. The Sony unit is ideal in these situations. The sound effect is very good and fills the room. Does not compare to a five speaker system we have in a big basement in Ohio but for the space it requires and the very low cost it is strongly recommended. Easy to install. We needed to purchase three HDMI cables which cost 40% of what we paid for the Sony system

I like the design of this sound bar but the sound is not what I expected. It sound like my TV. I need a little more kick so I returned the unit to Sears within 2 weeks of purchase but Sears charge me 15% re-stocking fee even I returned with the original box, and containing all original product packaging and accessories and looked like it had never been opened. After more then 10 years of shopping online this is my first experience being charge for 15% re-stocking fee. Buyer beware of Sears.
