It is a great deal for this memory card but if you are planning to be playing psp games on it, it may not be the best one for you. I have this card and some of my games have lots of slow downs and such, some games i can not even play because they are so laggy. I would go with a higher speed. To be safe i recommend a 30 Mb/s card. (some of you may be saying that i did not optimize my UMD's before transferring them to the card, but I did and it still has slow downs on some games) Was this review helpful?

I was looking for a memory stick pro duo and thought would look around from major retailers but they tend to have high prices. As a fan of Deal or No Deal, I thought I would go to this site representing Howie Mendel because I have seen the commercial for buy.com To my surprise, the item that I wanted was here and low in price. I bought the 8GB memory stick duo for my Sony HDR-CX7 HD video camera. I originally purchased a 4GB and unfortunately found out size does matter. The 4GB stick only records 32 minutes of HD 1080 resolution. Recommend the 8GB to double it for a little over an hour, 64 minutes at HD 1080 resolution. The 16GB stick is out but quite expensive. Can't beat the price! Works great in my fat and slim PSPs. Plenty of room for expansion with 8GB. I think a firmware update is necessary for PSPs running older versions before the full capacity of the stick is seen. Was this review helpful?

I bought this because I wanted to have absolutely NO memory issues with my PSP, and to allow for any expansions that might need a bit of memory stick space. I'd have to say it was well worth the money. Yes, they're still a bit spendy, but when I worked it out, it was cheaper per gig than any other smaller card I could have bought, so I still consider it a good deal. It accesses nice and fast, saves are virtually instantaneous. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again. Was this review helpful?

I have two PSPs one with the factory installed 2.71 Firmware, and the other with 1.5 FW with Proof of Concept (recovery menu). I formatted it on the 2.71 psp and I connected it to my computer with the usb cable, to put videos and photos. A computer error message said that I needed to format the 8gb duo, which I did already with the psp (If you format it with the computer your psp wont be able to read it). I changed the 8gb duo to my 1.5 firmware psp and it works fine. I downgraded my 2.71 psp to 1.5 fw and it works as well. On the sony website it says that you need 2.81 FW to use the 8gb duo, but not true. And yes both of my psps have the TA-082 motherboard installed. Was this review helpful?
