| | | Sony is upgrading its basic Memory Stick PRO Duo media line. The new, enhanced, line benefits from the same extended durability as the high-speed version, with a wider operating temperature range of between -25?C and 85?C (compared to the previous range of 0?C to 60?C). The new 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo offers affordable memory for high-capacity memory users. It works with an array of different applications including Sony MP3 audio recorders, PSP (PlayStation Portable), video cameras and computers with a Memory Stick slot. It is equipped with MagicGate, a copyright protection software that consists of authentication and encryption technologies. It has a theoretical maximum data transfer speed of 160 Mbps (20 MB / sec) with a minimum write speed of 15 Mbps to ensure high-quality, real-time recording of moving images. The Memory Stick PRO Duo is a scaleable solution, designed with the future in mind, and continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of users as well as the requirements of new and exciting applications.

I found it Very easy to use . The card & adaptor are seperated in the package so its easy to just insert the card into my camera & worry about adaptor later. It worked instantly & my camera displayed 396 free for photos , 45mins free for video. Was this review helpful?

i bought this as a gift for my uncle and aunt who has been using 156mb card while travelling around the world. so this was a good Xmas gift for them where they can store more memories up and save them moments. i recieved it pretty much the next day itself even with the free S&H option. u get what u see in the pix, the adapter and the card which u pretty much can use it on a new or old sony camera.
