5 of 5 Very happy with purchase Wednesday, December 10, 2008 JR Remke from Chicago, IL
I received a laptop from work and due to our disaster recovery plan, I needed a bag to cart the laptop to/from work on a daily basis. Since I prefer the messenger bag style and the large dimensions of the laptop limited my choices, I was VERY happy to find this bag. It is working out very well for me. There is enough storage space for my stuff in addiiton to the laptop. Plus, I did a trip from the US to Israel with a layover in Rome. It was quite nice and easy to get the laptop in/out of the bag for security searches. Was this review helpful?

Overall, a great bag for carrying around a laptop, accessories, and a decent amount of stuff. The construction is stiff enough to give some structure to the bag, but supple enough to still be comfortable to sling over your shoulder. The main compartment is VERY well organized for a laptop user, with the laptop sleeve being well padded, and large enough for thicker laptops. Although, for thinner laptops, if you want a snug fit, you'll want to get a separate sleeve in addition to the one that's built in. The two pouches in this compartment are large enough for my charger and wired mouse, and are high enough off the bottom to not be crushed when tossing in some books or a water bottle. Of the three pouches on the front, beneath the flap, only one has been useful to me. The other two are rather narrow and tall, which is great if you carry around something that fits perfectly, but limits their versatility. The two side pockets are of a similar construction to the front pouches, in that they are rigid and stout, but lack the versatility that an elasticized pocket provides. One side pocket is a good size for a cell phone or ipod, and gives a little security with the tail end of the shoulder strap velcroed over the opening. The other side pocket will fit a larger water bottle (standard Nalgene), but is too flared at the top to securely hold a more narrow and tall bottle. The shoulder strap is surprisingly comfortable and with a full water bottle, laptop, and a couple of books, the bag remained comfortable to carry around for miles of walking. I appreciate the low key branding of the bag, and the only aesthetic change would be to eliminate the small printed graphic on the front flap. So far, after a few weeks of use, I'm very happy with the purchase. It's a perfect laptop bag, but doesn't advertise to people what the contents are. Comfortable and utilitarian.
