| | Album Notes and Credits | Notes & Personnel Info | | On its 2006 U.S. debut, SOFT MACHINE, the Stockholm-based electro-rock group Teddybears presents a fun, energetic, and eclectic set. Although the band became known stateside for the jaunty, dancehall-tinged single "Cobrastyle," even more impressive highlights of the album include the propulsive "Yours to Keep" (with singer Neneh Cherry) and the pulsing, Krautrock-inspired "Punkrocker," which features a wonderfully detached vocal turn from Iggy Pop. Fans of likeminded techno acts such as Fatboy Slim, the Chemical Brothers, and Rinocerose will readily squeeze tight the accessible and engaging Teddybears. |
