The beautiful world of Gaya is home to a community of creatures, the Snurks, who are much smaller than humans, but who have an uncanny resemblance to them. But the Snurks are facing imminent danger. Someone has stolen the magic stone Dalamite without which this world is doomed. Two Snurks named Boo and Zino embark on a dangerous mission to track down and recover the stone. Their journey takes them into another world that is both strange and frightening Ð our everyday reality. It is only when the pair leave Gaya together with the feisty mayor's daughter Alanta that they realise they are the heroes of a TV series. The intrepid adventurers discover that Gaya is merely a figment of a TV scriptwriter's imagination and only exists on the small screen.

With voices supplied by Patrick Stewart (X-MEN) and Emily Watson (PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE) among others, THE SNURKS is a cheery animated tale from the writers of A BUG'S LIFE. An elusive charmed stone is sought by the residents of Gaya, whose land comes under threat when it disappears. So Boo and Zino set off in search of the stone, enjoying a series of adventures as they attempt to find it. Fans of the SHREK movies should find much to entertain themselves with here, as the loveable characters who populate the movie provide an enchanting experience which is suitable for kids of all ages.
