This is a fine network adapter, and it is very inexpensive, especially with the rebate. The only downside is the installation software SMC provides - they bury the driver in a device management application, rather than giving you the option to let Windows manage the device. I installed the application, saved off a copy of the driver, uninstalled the application, then reinstalled the device driver for Windows to manage. I like SMC products overall, though, including this one. Was this review helpful?

Works perfect. Great range and compatability with Netgear 814 router. Has ability to turn down range or disconnect for security through included software. Drivers were hard to install since XP didn't know where to find them. They were in the C:/program_files/smc/xp/utility folder after running the setup CD. I had to contact free tech support for this info. They need to work on thier installation program.

After being on the phone with SMC customer service they advised me to return the card. The card would not install period!!!!
Downloaded the new files, they did'nt work ethier. Buyer beware. This card will go back. What a waste of time.

This card works great with my Windows 2000.The installation is very simple and it starts working without complicated settings.It catches network with good strength and I can use it till second floor.
Overall the performace is good and the card is available for really cheap price.I would recommend this card if you are looking for wireless card Was this review helpful?

I used other brands like Linksys and Netgear adapters, but this one beats them all. It connects better over the walls at my home, from the first floor room to the upper floor room across.
Highly recommend it.

They are sending version 2 of this card, which seems to fix all the previous problems that the fist version had with windows xp pro. Installation was a cinch, and this card works great with excellent range. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a cheap wireless card. Was this review helpful?

Installed in an older notebook (Pentium 166 running Windows 98SE) in about 5 minutes. Strong signal throughout the house and even in my garage, back porch, etc. Great product, and great value for the price. Was this review helpful?
