SlingLink TURBO brings network connectivity to any electrical wall outlet, making it ideal for the modern living room with TURBO fast speed up to 85 MBPS. With four switched ports, it connects your Slingbox, game console, DVR, computer or anything with an Ethernet jack. Now you can run high-speed Internet through your existing electrical wiring with a simple plug-and-play connection. SlingLink TURBO is compatible with any home router.
The SlingLink™ acts as an extension cord for the Internet by using your home's existing electrical wiring to transmit the ethernet signal from your router. Just plug one SlingLink into the wall near your router, and plug in the other SlingLink wherever you have your Slingbox installed, and voila! You're connected to the Internet. Additionally, you should know that the SlingLink won't impact the performance of your network. It simply sends your home's Internet connection from your office to another household room via your electrical wiring. So wherever you have a wall socket, you can also have a broadband connection for all of your devices.

HOW DO I SET IT UP?
1. Plug the four port SlingLink TURBO into an outlet near your Slingbox and connect the Ethernet cable to your Slingbox’s network jack. You can connect up to three more devices to the four port SlingLink TURBO.

After trying to extend my network to accommodate both the slingbox and Directv's On Demand by using an Mac Airport Extreme and failing miserably I went with the Slinglink Turbo. It was a cinch to set up and allowed me to connect my router through the house's wiring directly to both units. So far it has worked like a charm. Keepin' my fingers crossed it continues to do so. I have bought many tech products over the years, and never have I felt compelled to write a review...but this product is amazing; the instructions are clear, simple & it works; I was updating the firmware on my Blu-ray 5 minutes after opening the box, and my DSL modem/router is clear on the other side of a very large home. Just the Facts from Phoenix, AZ
Purchased initially to network my Xbox 360 that is by the TV ( naturally). Literally, opened SlingLink Turbo plugged into router, Xbox 360 and wall outlets. Xbox 360 w/ HDMI was able to be connected to XBox Live in less than 5 minutes. Watched Dark Night VOD Previews with no pixelation, jutters or sound drop. No need to read directions, as I knew that the Sling Turbo must be plugged directly to wall, not surge protector or extension cord. If only every techno black-box was this easy.
Have since streamed three different Amazon Unbox movies downloaded, standard defintion, to PC and accessed through XBOX 360 My video. Looks and sounds great on Pioneer Kuro 50" (768p) and Pioneer Reciever. Have since installed TVerstiy on PC. Subsequestly watched movies ripped via DVD Shrink (VOB format)to PC hard drive. Dell PC is 5-6 years old running Windows, XP w/ 512MB memory. Not exactly the newest PC out there.
Has advantage over Linksys Powerline adapter for two reasons - each port (ie. box) has 4-5ft power cord. Linksys plugs directly into wall. The Sling Turbo as 4 ports on one-end. Giving long-term access for more devices in the entertainment center. Next up Popcorn Hour and a NAS.
One final note - 2000 sq ft. house was constructed in 2001 and SlingTurbo ports are on different electrical circuits. Physically the SlingLink Turbo's are 25- 30 ft. apart. Much further if you consider the copper romex cable runs that radiate out from main electrical panel. Was this review helpful?

I was skeptical of this product as I have an older home and the electrical system was installed in the 1930's. This Slinglink product worked as easily as plugging in. There was no setup required. I am very impressed. I highly recommend this product as a replacement for wireless gaming connections. Plug in the pieces you want connected to your network, plug in the power to the 4 port unit. Plug the 1 port unit into your router and then plug into the wall.. DONE! worked great, even on seperate circuits (which mine is) Was this review helpful?
