In all, this is a solid, reliable hard drive with a lot of storage for a good price; and thus I highly recommend it. The one-click backup system is a gimmick; though it does work, it takes more work to set it up than you save by using it. Thankfully, however, it is also possible to use the drive just as a regular hard drive without using the backup software, or even to combine the two and do some things one way and some things the other way.
The hard drive itself is light and seems to be pretty durable; it boots up quickly and runs without problems on Windows. (I can't vouch for Mac.)
The drive makes good use of USB 2.0, so even very large downloads to the drive are fast. Was this review helpful?  
3 of 5 Backup doesn't work Friday, July 18, 2008

I purchased this unit having read the reviews that the backup software that this comes with is very slow. However, this software doesn't work for me at all, never completing a single backup, however many times I tried it - and I tried everything. I wish I bought another product that comes with better backup software, even if a bit more expensive - it would have saved me much time and frustration. Was this review helpful?
