Works as promised. I will be using this light in very dark caves, temples and tombs. I had a smaller Sima video light that I purchased 2yrs ago, it worked great but after two years will not charge. I hope this one fares better over time. Overall it is a great light. Was this review helpful?

Battery life is satisfactory (I never drained it completely). Having 45 to 60 min power is fine for a unit of small size and weight. Also doubles as a nice all-around flashlight. Great value, no doubt. Was this review helpful?

Overall, I have found this small light to be a great item with its stackable capabilities and LED technology that keeps it 'cool' to the touch. However, attaching the light to the top of a photo camera for a 'candid' shot makes it difficult for the subject to look into the camera as the light is really too bright for comfort (even with the included bracket which enables you to mount the light a bit to the side). As noted in other reviews, being able to power this light from a cord would be nice as it will run down within 45 minutes of use. If your light goes out, you then have to wait for it to recharge. However, for the price -- this is a great buy and, I, too, will be purchasing at least one more as a back up unit. LED is the way to go! Was this review helpful?

This is a great light if you need something small. The price is really good for what it is, in my opinion, and the ability to stack them just makes them that much more versatile. The one improvement I would like to see is the ability to power it from an external battery, since the small built in battery tends to run down fairly quickly. Despite that, I will probably pick up 3 more of them... Was this review helpful?

I ordered this light and the bracket that they manufacture separately, but it turns out that the light comes with a great under mount bracket that let me use it with a shotgun mic already on the hot shoe of the Canon Vixia HV30 that I have. Wish that this was clearer on the description as now I have an extra unnecessary bracket... Battery lasts about 35 minutes at full charge, wish that you could get extra batteries, but for the $$ this is a great value. Was this review helpful?

Love it. Comparing to the same line of product out there, this is super cheap (in price). Though i wish the built-in battery would be bigger so that it can last longer. I had opened it up to check out the guts and the built in battery is the same size as a cell phone battery except it is a lot thinner. This explains the very light weight. The circuit board was simple. The diffuser can use a little for diffusing because the current diffuser is very clear, though this will help the light to go through more efficiently. I also like the daylight color temperature. Lastly, these LED goes much further than the ones I’ve seen. Was this review helpful?

Found the light a bit weak for a group light, but as a fill light it works just fine. The price at Buy.com was unbeatable!
I will be getting one more, since they can be connected together
for broader light coverage.
Also, I found it works great with my outdoor still photograhy, since it is balanced for daylight. Was this review helpful?

I bought 3 Sima lights and I am very Happy with its performance. Tha battery last at least 20 minutes and it deliver a great light specially if you use more than one to spread the light.
The price at Buy.com is unbeatable, almost half of the price of a Profeesional Camera Store.
