What a bummer. I found out after I received it that this wall mount requires a solid wood or similar surface to mount it on the wall. There is no way to mount the bracket directly to a sheetrock/stud wall. Very stupid! It mounts with about 25 little wood screws and the dimensions are not consistent with normal 16" studs. I had to buy a piece of plywood and mount it to the studs with lag bolts to provide a surface this bracket could be mounted to. Do your self a favor and buy a universal bracket. I used one on another TV and it bolted directly to the studs with the ability to move side to side in order to center it on the wall. It was also 1/2 the price.
