| | | The AQUOS GP1U Series in 37" and 32"*1 screen sizes is a dream come true for game players. This is the first LCD-TV series designed from the ground up to be optimized for today's state-of-the-art video games. The newly developed Vyper Drive game mode eliminates any perceptible lag between the video game and the TV. Sidemounted
terminals provide easy connections to games. A custom remote control includes an innovative "Game" button that quickly jumps into Vyper Drive and activates the side terminals. Six 1080p-compatible terminals (3 HDMI, 2 component, 1 DVI-I) ensure the images from your new game console's 1080p outputs will be as clear as possible. Finally, the GP1U's incredible 6ms response time and 10,000:1 (32") / 8500:1 (37") Dynamic Contrast Ratio, combined with Full HD 1080p resolution, provide the best picture quality money can buy.

5 of 5 Very nice! Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Texas
New house with built in entertainment center limited us to 39.5" horizontal space. The 37" screen FILLS it perfectly - and the quality is spectacular. Viewing angle is fabulous, and brightness great, making the adjustment automatically and not intrusively. Ours does allow customization of the HDMI inputs but the remote is not backlit. Plus, we're on satellite, so still have multiples. But the sound is great just from the set, the clarity magnificent. Will definitely have another and another and another . . . I wouldn't recommend a Sharp Aquos TV even to my worst enemy. My experience with my Aquos TV has been terrible. I had it three weeks before a purple line appeared across the screen. I sent it back to the retailer. Sharp makes all their retailers try to repair the TV before they do an exchange. So it took the retailed three weeks to determine that they couldn't fix it, so they sent it to Sharp for an exchange. Sharp has now had it for three weeks and it still won't ship back to the repair place to get sent to me until Friday! Unbelievable! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great Picture, Great features Thursday, March 29, 2007 Brian Maffitt from Chestnut Ridge, NY
I got this TV for the bedroom, partially to try out a smaller (and more affordable) Sharp LCD before snagging a 54" for the living room. The size is great--the small bezel means the case is only as wide as most competitors' 32" TVs. The picture is fantastic, and having all of these inputs available is very liberating. My only complaints so far are the awful remote (a very awkward layout, and it isn't illuminated so you can't see what you're doing at night), and when a TV has 8 inputs, it would be really nice to be able to customize the input display on the TV, so instead of "HDMI 1 - HDMI 5", you could have "Cable Box, Tivo, PS3, etc." My wife still gets very frustrated if the setup gets too complicated--and sadly, this setup is currently complicated. But I would recommend this TV without hesitation, especially for the price. Now if only TiVO would come out with an affordable HD recorder with HDMI... Was this review helpful?
