Stereo - Over-the-head

I was driving my wife crazy by either turning up the TV volume or putting on the closed captioning during a show or movie. I got the RS-130's, at her insistence. I found that the quality of the audio was so improved that even with the volume set at or below what she considers "normal", the audibility of speech was much, much more intelligible. The surround sound is so good, we're replaying all our favorite DVDs for the sheer enjoyment. So, now, there's no more closed captioning and she had me order her a spare set of headphones for her. P.S. Our TV is a 46" Sharp HD, LCD and we have a surround sound external sound system.

I needed some headsets for use with a desktop computer that I could listen to the music without blasting everybody else in the area and that would overcome background conversations and noise. I tried several other solutions and they left me skeptical. These were easy to install and provide excellent stereo sound [including sorround sound] and the rage is more than adequate for my home [2,300 suare ft.].

Performance is great on all but the fit of the ear muffs. They are a little short for my head and too tight fitting. But, on the other hand, having an on-off switch and volume control that's handy and of course the sound in stereo is clear. I had some static initially until I learned to reduce the amp output on my setup. Now sound, full range, is perfectly clear and wonderful.

These headphones are great. I work nights and did not want to wake up my wife while I watch TV and these worked out perfect. I can also tell you that it is a different way of watching tv. You actually hear birds chirping in the background and people whispering. It is just a totally new experience.

The headphones arrived on time as always from buy.com. Connected to my Sony Bravia LCD tv and was in business within 3 minutes. Excellent sound quality for both background music and voices. Every word in the movie was heard clearly and even the minute background sounds were clearly audible. Most important, the headphone were very comfortable to wear and covered the whole ear. Pretty light and easy to use. Only negative thing I can think of is the location of the volume knob (located behind} which gets turned on or off more than once by extending the neck. An ergonomic mistake which can be pardoned. All in all, a very satisfactory purchase. Works great when I want to watch TV and my wife is asleep.

Adapters included for either headphone port or RCA connections. Easy to use and my wife is overjoyed that she can sleep without hearing the TV. I can also walk into another room and not miss dialogue if I'm not back by the end of the commercial. The only small nitpick I have is the headphones have to be placed just perfectly on the charging stand to make a connection - If I go to fast they will not charge - But they last a few days on a single charge so it's not that big a deal.

I've had 2 previous similar products that almost always had an annoying buzz. This one sounds great, is pretty comfortable and at the sale price was a very good deal.

really comfort to use. only minimal interference bcuz all my roommates use wireless headphones. i would recommend this product to others. especially from buy.com with the discount and rebate.

This is a quality headset at a great price. I'm slightly hard of hearing, and can now hear things on television that I never even realized was there before, without turning the TV volume so loud as to irritate others in the vicinity. I should have purchased this years ago. A happy customer!

THIS PRODUCT WAS RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND WHO JUST PURCHASED ONE, HE ALWAYS RESEARCHES EVERY PRODUCT HE BUYS. RECEIVED IT IN 3 DAYS, WE ARE NOT TECKNO PEOPLE BUT IT WAS EASY TO SET UP. I RECOMMENDED IT TO MY SISTER WHO ALSO ORDERED ONE. I EVEN USE IT, MY HUSBAND IS STILL SLEEPING I'M USING IT SO I DON'T DISTURB HIS SLEEP AND I CAN HEAR MY NEWS PROGRAMS ALL OVER THE HOUSE AND IF I NEED TO TAKE THE DOG OUT I CAN STILL ENJOY MY PROGRAMS. GREAT GIFT FOR THE MAN WHO SWEARS HE DOESN'T HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM.

After reading other reviews, I agree that this is a great wireless headphone. Good sound, too. Doesn't completely block outside sound; okay to wear and "Not lose touch of surroundings."

My old wireless headphones were broken and I wanted the best - I bought Senheiser! This is my third set of headphones from this company and every one purchased has performed flawlessly. Initially the on and off controls were not easily located but when you do read the instructions everything becomes much clearer..... Sound quality is excellent and the surround sound feature is a bonus. Would purchase again!

The Sennheiser RS 130 has solved the problem in my house. My husband can hear the tv and I can read in peace. They were easy to setup and can be heard even when I go outside.

The RS130 are excellent wireless headphones. I use them at work to listen to music and to walk around my desk. The base makes recharging easy. I just set it on the base and poof the recharging begins. The auto channel sensing feature makes changing channels easy.

I bought this headset for my father on his 35th marriage anniversary. He is 50% hard of hearing and has difficulty following TV with us in the living room. To maintain a normal audio volume for us and, at the same time, maintain a higher volume to suit his needs, this headset has proved to be a boon. I have a Onkyo amplifier which has more than one output. I channelize my first output to speakers and the second one to this headset. We can maintain a comfortable audio level in the living room while my father can control the audio level he likes by the audio control switch located on his headset. The only caveat would be the price. It is expensive for $100+ but it is worth it when I see my dad enjoying TV and laughing with us.

These headphones are light, well ventilated, and sound great. They don't get hot like other phones - Sennheiser builds them with a mesh side panel that allows airflow as well as the ability to hear things going on around you. I guess that could be considered a "negative" if you're looking to exclude sounds around you. They didn't rate 5 on performance and ease of use because of a rather clumsy on/off system, and their tendency to have to be tuned around interference (they're 900Mhz - so, like cordless phones you occasionally get some bursts of hiss). Are these HUGE problems? No. It certainly hasn't kept me from using them almost every day, and it simply means they aren't "perfect" - but then, what is? Great value for the money - I highly recommend them.

Very pleased with these headphones. If I'm reclining in my chair and move my head a certain way, it will occasionally change the volume because of where the control is on the headset, but it's not a big deal. They sound great and are very comfortable.

I purchased one headphone with transmitter and one extra headphone. My son and I watched one of our action shows last night and the wife never had to say "turn it down!" It was great! Sound quality is perfect! You can hear some background noise if there is no sound being transmitted for several seconds, but not enough to keep me from using them! The biggest thrill came when we were laughing at one of the scenes of the show and the wife wanted to know what was so funny! She couldn't hear anything, and my son and I heard everything! Kinda pissed her off!

The Sennheiser RS130 headphones are great!!! The surround sound is impressive for a wireless headphone unit.</br> </br> The unit:</br> - has awesome sound</br> - last a long time between charges</br> - has a great coverage area</br> - little noise interference can be heard</br> - is EASY TO RECHARGE!!!</br> </br> My only grip is that you have to manually turn the headphones on and off each time you use them and then again when you charge them. Also, the on/off switch feels like it might break if you are careless.</br> </br> I previouosly used Sony's TMR-RF960R and I guess I am sort of use to the automatic on/off feature.</br>
