Had these head phones for about 6 months now and have used them on several airplane trips. They work very well at wiping out the drone of the airplane and you can hear people talking easily. Good Sound quality for music and movies.
The only drawback that I found is the earpads sit on your ears, not over them. This tends to annoy you after awhile so on long flights you need to take them off, but you need to get up an move around every hour or so anyway, so that's not a big drawback.
Also having the pads sit on you ears makes them less effective at removing all of the background noise. The other side of that (having earpads that completely cover your ears) is that your ears tend to get hot in that style.
The battery pod (with the noise cancelling switch) in the cord is something of a pain, but it will clip onto a shirt pocket. It would be nice if you could disconnect the cord from the headphones themselves but, again, that's not a big deal.
Folds up nicely into the carrying bag
All in all, a good value and I'd buy them again. Was this review helpful?

I work as a medical transcriptionist, and purchased these headphones so that I can listen to dictation while cutting down on the ambient noise around me (screaming children, office backchatter, etc.). The headphones are really designed, however, to reduce low-frequency noise such as that made by engines or small motors. I did find that turning on the noise-canceling feature sharpened the clarity of the dictated speech while slightly reducing the volume of the outside voices, which was a great improvement.
Listening to music with these headphones produced an audible hiss whether or not the noise-canceling option was used. I have yet to listen to these phones while on board an airplane, so I can't judge as to their effectiveness there.
Headband is slim and the ear pads comfortable. The battery pack is a bit awkward (with a massive shirt clip too bulky for my lighter summer shirts), but otherwise very easy to use. The earphones come with a nice transport bag and 2 extra jacks. Extra ear pads would have been nice for the price as well.
Good phones for work, excellent if you work in a machine-heavy environment, but I wouldn't recommend them for hooking up to your stereo or ipod for easy listening. Was this review helpful?
