awesome so far. This is my second Seagate external, and I can manage them both and set my Syncs from the same manager app. Very easy, quiet and fast, and I can set the power saver and everything. Excellent product for the price in my opinion.

Disclaimer: I'm not a techie. I use this product to back up my work and media files every night. It was simple to set up and seems to be working very well. I'm not that concerned with speed as backups are created at 4am and finished by the time I get started in the morning. This hard drive was a little more expensive than the comparable Western Digital drive I was considering, but I was willing to pay a premium for Seagate's bundled software.

This is my second 1 TB hard drive. It is so quiet that you can't tell if it is on. I bought it to back up photos and it is perfect. It has a firewall connection, USB and I can even use the Nikon camera cable. The drive arrived be fore it was promised

I bought this as a backup drive for a new iMac - specifically for use with time machine. It was incredibly easy to connect, although I did need to "reformat" it for use on a Mac, but the iMac setup handled that automatically. Its incredibly quiet and I have had zero issues with it. I would recommend this drive for this situation. If you want to have it be a time machine backup, and use it for also backing up other things, you need to partition the drive which is a bit more complicated.

The drive was easy to set up and use. The backups are unobtrusive and quick, even using USB. I was also happy with the warantee. So far, no problems, and I would recommend to anyone.

Easy Setup. Just plug it in and run it. The 5 Year Warranty is a plus. Why buy a cheaper drive and add the extended warranty! In the long run this is the better deal.

Drive has been useful. Ease of setup was good. Graceful shutdown when stopping machine and quiet running. Have never been dissatisfied with Seagate drives. Transfer rate as advertised. Would recommend this drive.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It was simple to install, it has a decent piece of backup software included, and it turns off gracefully when I shut down my machine or hibernate. It was a good price for a top-end drive. I trust Seagate hard drives and haven't had a problem with this one yet (had it a month so far). I love the USB / eSATA option too. I'm stuck on USB for now, but it's fairly quick. I'm sure the eSATA will blow that away when I finally get a machine that supports it ;)

This drive works perfectly... Very Fast!!! Very quite!!! Does not get hot on large data transfers!!! Does not get lost (Disappear) on system reboot!!! Does not get lost (Disappear) on system wake up!!! The drive is pleasing to the eye!!! For me the drive has been working XTremely well using the eSATA interface...
