100% satisified with the drive. After reading other reviews, I decided to buy the drive.
When it arrived I just connected it to an unused USB port and I was up and running.
A review I had read stated that it needed 2 USB ports. In fact the cable it comes with has 2 USB connectors on one end but, it only requires 1 port. I have actually used a cable that came with another device that only has 1 connector and the drive works perfect. Was this review helpful?

Great drive. Seems really dependable. Two problems. One - it requires 2 USB ports to give it power - it will not run on one. didn't know this and had to buy a hub to support it. Kinda disappointing. Two - as expected, the software included sucks. Cool concept, but horrible execution. Also, the software is a PAIN to uninstall - been trying for weeks to get all the little components erased - finally bit the bullet, zeroed the drive and used it with my Mac, which works great, but is probably a tribute to Apple more than Seagate. Overall, don't use the software and know you need two USB's, then you got a good drive Was this review helpful?

I'm quite pleased with the product, and the price. So much so that I have since purchased a second one.
With the proprietary FreeAgent software, file synchronization can be automatic or manual, depending on how you want to use the drive.
The only surprise I had was with the bundled Ceedo software. I had incorrectly assumed that it password-protected access to the entire drive.
I would recommend this product to anyone shopping for a protable hard disk. Was this review helpful?

The 2 USB cables are not required to power on and use it, you can plug in the data+power usb cable and still enjoy using this drive.
Cons:
It's not exactly 160GB, the storage space is only 150GB. Otherwise its worth the money. Was this review helpful?

This drive has been awesome for me. I really like the CEEDO software and privacy functions it offers. I have already purchased a retail version of Ceedo and installed it on 2 other usb drives I have. Basically you can take your desktop/PC with you.
The GO drive works well, looks good, and is light for travel. You can't beat the 5 year warranty either, no worries about your investment. Only con is it takes 2 usb ports but far better then an external power supply. Was this review helpful?
