5 of 5 Fantastic Hard Drive Monday, April 27, 2009

I bought two of these for backing up company files. Have had other seagate external drives before and had good experience. These drives are the fastest ever. I copied 63GB at one time in 30 min. I was able to daisy chain the two together using the 800 firewire for fantastic throughput. Overall very happy with it. Will buy another for home use. Great value for the price. The most interfaces available on a drive.

I'm using this drive to backup several (smaller) external drives & keep "Time Machine" backups for 2 G4 Powerbooks. Everything worked easily right out of the box. Multiple cables were included (USB 2.0, FW 400 & 800). I was also able to daisy chain the drive together with 2 separate LaCie drives without difficulty.
