The cost per GB is definitely nothing to write home about, but the drive is fast, quiet, and so far, rock solid. You do need a SAS controller in your system to use this drive; the serial drive interface connectors on most motherboards are SATA and they will not work with this drive. I'm using a card from LSI Corp. If you need a high performance drive for photo or video editing, I highly recommend this drive.
