I bought the drive to replace what I thought was a defective unit in my portable USB enclosure. Turns out that the fault was with the enclosure, not the drive. So I have a new drive sitting on a shelf waiting for me to decide what to do next. Shipping was free and arrived much more quickly than I had expected.
