5 of 5 very good Sunday, January 04, 2009
Liviu from Stamford, CT

Short stories narrated by famous actors. Fine drawings. With available 'read along' option and some even include Spanish alternative. The package took forever to make it here (Stamford, CT), ordered on 12/08, got here on 12/27. That's forever by any standards. It was ok as it wasn't meant as a present, but otherwise I would have been upset. Very happy with the set, high quality at a great deal!

5 of 5 Wonderful Assortment! Saturday, January 03, 2009
A Viewer from Northridge, CA
I got these for $29.99 on a "deal" at this site and I have had my eye on these for over a year at Costco ($65). What a wonderful collection of stories. We own about a third of these books, so it's fun to hear the voices they've decided to use for the stories. The stories are exactly like the books so I sometimes put the kids in front of the stories (like Corduroy and Where the Wild Things Are) and turn on closed captioning with their books right in front of them. The kids get a big kick out of that.

2 of 5 Lots of Choice Wednesday, December 31, 2008
A Viewer from Iowa
Was not sure what I was getting. Lots of DVD titles, but the quality is low. My child watches movies like Cars and Polar Express and it is difficult to get him to watch a short cartoon that is not visually pleasing. Not worth the money. Wish I had skipped it.

5 of 5 Nice Collection Tuesday, December 30, 2008
CM from Woodbridge VA
As others have said, some are better than others. The only complaint at all is that most have animation, except Curious George, which happens to be my daughters favorite character. Also, not a complaint, but accompanying books would have been nice too - I would have paid a little more to get all the hard page books with these stories. DVDs are good, but never as good as reading.

5 of 5 Great collection at a great price Friday, December 05, 2008
Lisa from La Mesa, CA
My 2 year old son really loves these - and because each story can be shown separately, I can "dial in" how much time he will be watching TV. He's pretty well-trained now to expect two stories. His current favorites, Good Night Gorilla and How Dinosaurs Say Goodnight are actually good at getting him settled down for bed. He also loves Where the Wild Things Are and In The Night Kitchen. My 6 year old daughter is less interested - probably because they are not bathed in pink. The quality of the videos is pretty good - not fancy graphics, but they stay true to the illustrations, which is more important to me for the kids. And I haven't seen them all, but so far, the music accompanying the story has been of good quality too. Overall, a highly recommended set - a great value

5 of 5 CURE FOR BEDROOM BOREDOM - TERRIFIC Wednesday, September 17, 2008
A Viewer from Tucson, AZ
Its like buying 100 great childrens books and them having them come to life on screen! We've had this set for a month and just scratched the surface - tons of stories for boys and girls!!! My 8 yr old daughter has a few of these stories in her book collection and LOVES to see them come to life on video. The stories are read just as written in the books, so she can follow word for word and the "animation" adds a whole new life to the stories. Some of the stories are read by todays big actors which is a bonus. As a parent, I really appreciate having "quality" stories to share with my children as an alternative to the Miley and Jonas overload on TV (she likes them too). GREAT FOR BEDTIME, helps my crazy 3yr old son to wind down and get him into bed. MY KIDS LOVE THEM! As a parent I would highly recommend this set - it's great!
