Large, 3-inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
The display flips out from the camera and rotates up to 285 degrees on an axis that allows you to take great video or still images from otherwise-difficult-to-view positions, proving to be especially useful when shooting in confined spaces.
10 Megapixel Still Image Quality
In addition to HD Video (720p 30 fps) the CG10 takes amazing 10 megapixel still photos. With a 10 megapixel (effective) CMOS image sensor the still images can be interpolated to reach 12 megapixel still image quality.
5x optical zoom
The CG10 lens provides a zooming range of F=38 - 190mm (35mm equivalent). Combined with the 12x digital zoom, the CG10 offers a total zooming range of 60x.
12 Subject Face Chaser Technology
Recognizes up to 12 faces for videos and still pictures and optimizes focus and aperture settings to ensure all subjects are in focus.
Three-Dimensional Noise Reduction (3D-DNR)

Easy playback of recorded video directly on a TV

I have bought the CG-10 FROM BUY.COM ON 7/4/09, WAS DELIVERED FREE ON 7/7/09, EXCELLENT BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED CONDITION.
I HAVE reserched this camcorder and similar items prior to placing my order, so i was very familiar with it's features when i received it.
After charging the battery it was up and running flawlessly.
Here is what i like about this camera:
1. Small, compact size, in attractice stylish shiny black nd design.
2. Easy pistol shaped grip, although new to me, grew on me very fast.
3. It fits in my pocket, and is up in 1.6 seconds from the moment you flip the view screen.
4. Beuatiful bright 3 inches lcd screen, great vibrant colors.
5. Easy set up, menu is really intuitive. those who complained about the manual and the difficulty of set up probably have handeled very few electronic pieces in their entire life. if you know how to read and have a basic understanding of photopgrapy, the set up is a breeze. if in doubt, always choose auto mode.
6. Battery life is really good for the size. i bought 2 replacement batteries on e bay for $ 9.99, free shipping...!
7. I placed a 16 GB SDHC MEMORY CARD, A-DATA, (FOR 29.909 FROM NEWEGG). WORKS FLAWLESSLY.
8. Zooming is powerful 5 x, and can activate the digital zoom also. not bad at all.
9. Easely connects to computer via supplied proprietary usb cable. or you can take out the sd/sdhc card and palce it in the computer memory reader.
10. Picture quality in video mode is really amazing, clear and 720 p hd. I connected the camera to my 50 inches screen samsung hdtv plasma, the video quality was amazing,..
11. Takes picture, WHILE FILMING TOO, still photo, can go up to 12 mp, I sat mine at 10 mp, the quality is acceptable on general scale.
13. Has an attachable protective lens cap, easy to put on/off. I read some people who have complained on how to put it and attach it, it honestly took my 20 seconds or less to get it done. just use your immagination to tie it together.
13. Imgae stabilization is above average for the camera,. honestly unless you have parkinson's disease or inflicted with essential tremor, the picture is really stable and does not make you need meclizine for vertigo,..
14. Easy to use buttons on the back, big enough but not too big. has a small joy stick that makes navigation a breeze.
what i dislike: for the price, really nothing. all in all it is an excellent buy,.. i am using it more then my 1080 xacti fd 100. it is all about portability.
PS: buy.com gave me credit for 4 dollars after I emailed them saying that the price dropped before I received my camera.. excellent move and excellent timely response,...way to go Buy.com. I will be checking your web site more often.
