4 of 5 Great Clock Radio Wednesday, January 21, 2009
    A Customer from Sterling, VA
This is an outstanding radio and digital alarm clock. The wife and I had been using a digital clock I bought prox. 15 years ago. While the old radio was reliable, we now live in an area where reception is terrible. I am a radio geek and wanted something that would pick up the stations we listen to clearly and not fade when we walked past the radio. The digital PLL (Phase Locked Loop) Synthesized Tuner solves this issue. I also appreciate the RCR-22's ability to pick up and sync. to WWV in Ft. Collins Colorado. I used to manually sync my alarm clock and watch to WWV back when I was a teen listening to short wave (I said I was a radio geek). The RCR-22 is also a sharp looking clock radio. The only down side is it's "user interface". If Sangean can figure out a way to make it easier to program, this clock radio would be perfect. The display is clear, the sound while mono is wonderful, the time is constantly accurate and having the ability to program the alarms makes it very versatile. I strongly recommend this clock radio even if you need to ask for help programming it.

    5 of 5 Great Features Friday, January 09, 2009
    Scott from Denver, CO
This is just what we needed in a non-ipod radio alarm! *Push button tuning *Humane Waking system -> increasing volume of alarm. *Good FM reception (antenna built-in) *Adjustable stuff, like brightness and alarm volume. *Nerd-compatible exact time via WWV. *Nap setting, without resetting the alarm. It seems to work just fine in all regards.

    5 of 5 On Time Monday, December 01, 2008
Snooze you Lose from Chicago, IL
This clock has it all except battery backup. It is the only feature I would have wanted too but it does reset it's own time so at least you have that fail safe. Display is a bit bright but is fully adjustable and goes into a dimmer mode after making settings. Very good reception and if the station is dead the alarm will switch to the buzzer mode all by itself, no more over sleeping because the power went out at your local radio station transmitter! A weather station would be an nice addition to wake up to but you can't have everything. This is a great replacement for my 20 year old General Electric florescent display with dual alarms. I hope to get as many years out of this replacement.

    5 of 5 Works Great Saturday, November 15, 2008
    Time Freek from Cincinnati, OH
Once the proper positioning of the time-radio antenna is found, the time was updated in less than 15 minutes. Radio sound is better than any clock radio I have had before.

5 of 5 Excellent clock radio Sunday, September 28, 2008
    A Customer from Bethany,CT
Overall very good, takes a while to sync the atomic clock , i.e. to acquire the signal. The dimmer is on the bottom ogf the unit and is not too bright if you remember to dim it at night. Radio reception is very good. The 7 day alarm is a nice feature and you can set two different alarm times each independently for 7 days. You can set each alarm to wake up to a different radio station.

5 of 5 I can finally have the correct time. Monday, July 28, 2008
    Roger from Lake City, GA
Upon first receipt of this clock, I was very impressed with looks. When I reviewed the manual, I was not so impressed. The manual needs to be improved. When I plugged in the clock, I found I had to find a place for the antenna to get a signal from the atomic clock. Still, it did not receive a signal until late at night and it finally set the correct time. I love having two alarms and being able to set them for any day of the week. The display is very bright, but can be adjusted. The digital radio works great and you can store your favorite stations. It has a nap timer which will come in handy. Overall this is a great clock radio, the manual needs improvement. Would highly recommend this clock.

5 of 5 Great, dependable, clock radio Saturday, July 26, 2008
A Customer from St. Marys, WV
I have been shopping for a new clock radio for sometime. Have read many reviews and done considerable research. Being a fan of the atomic clock technology this was number one on my list of functions desired. While there are probably many clock radios out there that have better sound I wasn't looking for a sound system. This radio for its size has very good sound and functioning as a device needed to awake me in the morning it does a great job and allows many options to do so. The atomic clock feature gives you peace of mind when those inevitable power failures occur. So far I am very pleased and would highly recommend Sangean RCR-22 for someone looking for a dependable clock radio.

2 of 5 Pathetic customer service Sangean Friday, April 04, 2008
    A Customer from Sacramento, CA
This radio can take up to 72 hours to get a signal from the atomic clock. It doesn't say that anywhere in the manual! If you go to their website's FAQs, this model is BLANK - NO info. Shutting off the alarms, if they are set close together, is kind of weird - I haven't figured that out yet; I have the alarms 5 minutes apart - the one I thought I shut off was snoozed, and the one I snoozed was shut off. The blue face is striking, except that it is impossible to read from the bed (right next to the radio). Okay... I DO like the gentle-wake alarm feature, which can be adjusted from the factory settings. There also seemed to be a lot of buttons to push to set the alarms, but after I got the routine down, I would be comfortable changing the alarms. I considered returning it because of the hard to read face, and I don't trust the company to back up their products now, but I have yet to find a gentle-wake alarm that is so pleasant. So I'm still undecided on a return...
