I basically listen to AM radio. I need a radio that I can tune off channel 1 or two mhz. Because I live in boonies I get outer space noise on some channels. If I go up or down a few mhz it sounds better. I had a CC radio but the display went south (a common problem I found out)
I use an Kaito active external AM/SW antenna and that works very good with the ATS-909.
All the functions of the ATS-909 were very easy to learn and they all work good. The sound is good coming out of a small box.
I'm using external speakers plugged in to headphone port and that works great.
I have no complaints and don't expect to have any since I haven't had it very long. A great radio for the price....Buy it!
ps. I will be doing a little SW DX'ing to check out SW.
