I was delighted to get the pink one for my family's use. It is attractive and also give a quality output. What more.. You can upgrade it to 1GB OR 2GB OR 4GB.. as you wish. I suggest for everyone's use.

sandisk sansa shaker 512MB player is a small and good looking in its kind. It has a unique shaking feature. Its worth buying. Unlike other players it has also got a speaker. Cheapest and efficient in its kind.

all 3 of my kids older kids (not the 3 month old) have one of these and they love them! They love the "shake" action to change songs as well as listening through the built in speaker. While it is not the best quality speaker (nor is it designed to be) it does the job well and is plenty loud for them to listen to Hannah Montana or the Jo Bros. They also like the dual headphone port which is great for 2 kids sitting side by side in the car on long road trips. I bought a fourth one for my niece's birthday which is in a couple weeks since she showed interest in the ones my kids own.

My baby girl is 5 years old and she asked for an mp3 player since her much older sister had one. I was very reluctant to buy one for her thinking she's too young. Let me tell you this shaker was just what the Doctor ordered. No complicated buttons and menu that would cause a child to seek help every 5 mins. Durable enough it can take all the running and player a five year old can dish out. It's a very attractive player too, plus it came with stickers that she loved too. She's very proud she's older enough to have an mp3 player and Dad was very happy to find just the right one.

This product is good for kid that begin to experience the mp3 player but not for the teenager. All the operations is easy to use and easy to transfer music. You can use as a mass storage as well. It's versatile.

suitable for 6-12 kids, surprisingly good external spreakers for its size. also,looks good in pink and blue (the ones i have)...cant say about other colors.

I have a 5 year old and an 18 month old. My 5 year old got one of these from his grandma for Christmas and loves his. My 18 month old loves it too and even though she wont know how to wear the headphones I love that you can use the speaker on top of this and hear it like a radio. I just ordered one for her using google checkout for the first time so got $10 off! This is an awesome little toy and gets the kids dancing around which is so cute. As far as the previous review that states that the shaker part doesnt work....you have to hold down the play/pause button when you shake it for it to work. If you didnt have to do that then the song would constantly change when they were moving with it.

I bought this for my daughter in October for Christmas. The shaker part (switching to next song) does not work and can not return as its been over 14 days. My main gripe is that I have to convert all music to mp3 format in order for it to play on device. We have several other Sansa players that play .wma format so having to do this added step is a hassle.

I was so impressed with this thing, (actually my niece was) I went ahead and bought ten more for stocking stuffers. You need an adult to load music and change the battery, but to use it, any child can. Battery lasts pretty long. Comes pre loaded with some tunes so they can start enjoying right away. External speaker sound quality is excellent for some thing this small/price. Sharing the listening experience is also easy with the two provided headphone outputs. (one set of headphones included) Overall this is the best first mp3 player for kids. Teaches them to share. Well, some of them.

My daughter bought the Sansa Shaker with some money she received for her eighth birthday. At Buy.com's sale price with free shipping, it was definitely a bargain. My daughter loves her Sansa Shaker. It's easy to use and is easy for smaller hands to hold. She likes the dual headphone jacks and the built-in speaker. The speaker is more powerful than we expected, and she uses it most of the time. The shaker feature, which enables the user to go to a randomly selected song, is cute, but it takes a little getting used to, and my daughter rarely chooses to use it. She either listens in order or uses the ring at the bottom to advance to another song. I think the Shaker must be fairly sturdily made, since my daughter has had it for a month and a half and it hasn't broken yet! She takes it nearly everywhere. The Sansa Shaker runs on one AAA battery. We use rechargeables, which work well. It has no internal memory, only the SD card, which comes with the Shaker. This could be seen as a drawback, but I consider it a plus. When my daughter wants something different on her player, I just pull out the card and pop it into my card reader, then drag and drop. The Shaker also comes with a USB cord, but I find it easier to just pull out the SD card. You access both the SD card slot and the battery compartment by twisting off the bottom cap, which is attached to the player with a very short cord. The cap doesn't come off easily, which discourages the little ones from attempting it themselves and, thus, keeps the card and battery more secure. There is no menu screen, so you either have to play songs in their order on the card, use the ring on the bottom to advance or go back, or use the shaker feature to play songs in random order. However, the lack of a screen allows the Shaker to have its unique rounded shape, keeps production cost down, and keeps operation simple, which is great for kids. The only real drawback, to me, is that the Shaker will only play MP3 files. Since I always rip my songs to WMA format, it means I have to re-rip some songs to MP3 format in order to put them on the Shaker. So that is an inconvenience to me. The Sandisk MP3 players that my husband and I have play both MP3 and WMA. I wish the Shaker were the same. That is the only reason that I give the Shaker a "4" and not a "5" for overall satisfaction. If you want an MP3 player for a child (or a simple player with built-in speaker for an adult), the Sandisk Sansa Shaker is the way to go.

I bought this player for my 6 year old and she is having a blast using it. It is very easy to use and it has a built in speaker so everybody could enjoy listening to the music.

Purchased this unit for my granddaughter's 8th birthday and she loves it. I am a Disc Jockey and have all the music she loves. I simply hooked it to my computer and copied files to the Shaker. It's easy for her to use and gives her hours of enjoyment. With the SD disc, it's easy to fill several for her to choose from. Definitely the way to go for kids who aren't ready to care for the more sensitive mp3 players.

This is owesome product..This is for kids but u can always use it.. its too trendy and very cool.. the features are really very nice.. it has just 1 disadvantage and that is, it doesnt have dispay otherwise its worth..really worth buying.. go for this product..
