This is a great product as either a secondary mp3 player, or one that you carry in adverse conditions. The fact that it is refurbished does not affect its value. It's relatively easy to find failure rates of refurbished versus failure rates of new. New product failure rates are significantly higher, since refurbs are essentially inspected twice. In regard to the device itself, the built-in FM tuner and equalizer settings give you a good amount of freedom, as does the voice recorder. The only thing I would caution against is that Windows Media Player has a notoriously bad rapport with Sandisk devices, so drag and drop with Windows Explorer instead and save yourself a headache. I got this product fro buy.com thinking it as a good deal, buy it took some time to get the product, and once I get it, it never worked for me.I am kind of thinking should I buy it again or leave it?I got new batteries and put in the player, but it never starts, and I don't know if I am doing wrong or the player is not working at all. Great battery life. I use rechargeable AAAs so I never get caught without juice. Also, it has a very advanced FM tuner that locks in a frequency and unlike other cheap non-PLL radios it does not drift. Can hold both MP3 and WMA. Unbelievably cheap for the functions and memory it boasts. Definitely gives a run for their money to those overrated IPODs. The downside: Flimsy battery cover, no skin cover and you got to wait for a few seconds from the point you turn it on to the point it starts playing. Was this review helpful? |
