My wife and I purchased one for each of us to have mostly for the car, but we have found these very useful at work as well. The video portion has been pretty good, we took a trip recently and I loaded a movie on mine to watch on the plane, I tested it the night before the flight and started watching the movie at the gate, but when I got on the plane the unit froze. I did not have a PC with me and tried to use a PC at the in-laws to delete the movie and use just the music, but to no avail. I was able to clear the movie when we got back home from my PC and the unit has not had an issue since. The FM tuner is also good. Accessories like arm bands and belt clips are hard to find for the Fuze, but there are some out there on line. At this time I have not filled up the unit with music yet, even with a 2 hour movie on the unit I still had over 1GB of free space, but to have the memory slot available is great. I also like that I can transfer music directly from the laptop to the unit without using a third party app, Windows just sees it as a drive.

My son is adamant about SanDisk. We have purchased 4 to date. The more gigs the better.

Overall, I am very happy with the Fuze. It is smaller than other comparable mp3 or ipod devices. I use it primarily in the car, plugging it into my car stereo's auxiliary port. (I separately bought a retractable cord so that the cord is not lying around the seat or car floor when not in use.) It sounds great. When I first hooked it up to the computer, the computer recognized the Fuze and I was able to synchronize and copy my music to the Fuze. The battery was also recharged this way. The only problem I had was a few days later when I wanted to copy more songs to it and my computer did not recognize the Fuze as a device. Not only couldn't I add more songs, but I could not recharge the battery using the USB cord attached to the computer. I went on line and saw that a lot of people were having problems with the computer not recognizing the Fuze. Some people were very upset with Sansa. I became worried. I don't know if this was a real problem that Sansa only resolved recently or if these people were alarmist, but I was able to fix this problem easily once I went to the Sansa support website. It turns out, all I had to do was refresh the device in my computer. (the Sansa support website explained step by step how to do this.) It worked, and I was able to copy more songs and recharge the battery. So I'm happy. (I did bookmark the support page just in case the problem reoccurs.)

This is my first MP3 player and over all it works very well. I would highly recommend downloading the manual for it as it can be a bit confusing how to figure out to utilize all of the features. I have yet to try out the video feature so I can not comment on it. So far I love it!!

The only reason I gave this product a couple of fours and not all fives is the product doesn't have a bookmark feature which the user can set. I am also disappointed that the product doesn't use the MTP interface with Linux. I bought this product to upgrade from my IAudio player. Although the IAudio interfaced much easier with Linux the Sansa had better sound, IMHO. I chose the standard free shipping offered with this product and the device still arrived in 3-days. This is the second product I have ordered from BUY.COM and the shipping time was also within 3-days. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and would buy it again. BTW, it works great with my Windoz Vista machine.

The Fuze is one of the best mp3 players around for sound quality. It's easy to use if you take a few minutes to learn the controls, easy to carry and the price here is excellent. Other than suggesting better earphones (no mp3 player seems to include top-of-the-line 'phones...) this is a really good deal.

I have never bought or used an iPod and this is my first MP3 player, so I am not very qualified to write this review. Nonetheless, this MP3 player does everything I need an MP3 player to do and is a high quality product despite its unusually low price. The sound quality is excellent, it is as compact as it could be without losing functionality, and the scroll wheel makes navigating the menus a breeze. However there are a few qualities of the player that could be improved: one cannot use the player when it is connected to a computer, there are no accessories included in the package like an ac adapter or protective case that I believe iPods come with, and the player only holds 2000 songs as claimed assuming the average song is 4 MB, but I could only fit around 1260 songs on the player because my average song was around 7 MB. Overall, this MP3 player is well worth its low price and is a high quality product, despite the few weaknesses mentioned above.

Before buying Sandisk players, check the Sandisk forums for issues with the units. I found this out the hard way after purchasing 2 units for Christmas presents. The units are ideal for audio playback only. There are issues with video playback. Sandisk is aware of the video playback issues, HOWEVER they have made no attempt to remedy. The major issue is that the units do not sync audio & video (3 second delay). Both the firmware and the software used to convert video to Sandisk format are "buggy". If you want an audio player only.....good deal. If you want to play videos....You will get frustrated and fail.
