5 of 5 Sansa Clip is EXCELLENT Monday, September 29, 2008
A Customer from whitehouse station, NJ
I bought this as a replacement for my ipod shuffle which stopped working for no apparent reason. The Sansa Clip is superior to the shuffle in these ways: 1. the battery life is at least twice as long as the ipod. I charged mine last week and after 3 hours use it still had all of the bars indicating fully charged 2. radio with excellent reception 3. a display so you can see the songs 4. 2GB for only $10 more than the 1GB shuffle. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone considering a shuffle.

4 of 5 Good Disposable MP3 Player Monday, September 01, 2008
Ron from Denver, CO
I like this very small MP3 player. I have been using it now for about 3 months. The instructions that come with it are somewhat poor. I ended up viewing a YouTube.com video about how to set it up. The radio is weak. It works, but can't seem to pull in and hold any but the stronger stations. Playlists are easy enough to set up from your computer and transfer it to the Sansa. The quality of the sound is surprisingly good! If you noticed my title for the review, a proplem I have is with the "disposable" nature of the player. There is no way to ever replace the battery after it won't recharge anymore (by the way, you can only recharge it using a USB port on your computer). I have read that the player has a 3 year life span, then you have to throw it out and get something else. In 3 years many of you might want to get something new anyway, but I would like it to last longer if I want it to.

5 of 5 Sansa finally gets it right Saturday, August 23, 2008
Joe from Clemson, SC
This is the 3rd small Sansa model I've dealt with (I have a DAP and I bought and set up a different model for an ex-girlfriend). It's got lots more features than the buggy old DAP (the lack of playlist support and the inability to even sort tracks were very annoying), but it's much easier to use. The built-in clip ends all my armband woes for running, and the size is great, the screen is 1/2 the size of the DAP screen but is much more informative. I can't rave about this thing enough. It's also great for podcasts. I created a "Podcasts" folder at the root of the device, and it seems to recognize it as it should - if I play some music and then browse back to a podcast that I had abandoned midway, it prompts me to begin where I left off! I wasn't expecting that at all.

5 of 5 Great small MP3 player Wednesday, August 06, 2008
A Customer from Chicag, IL
This is probably my 4th or 5th MP3 players (I've had creative, Ipod, SLVR, ROQ-IT). This is by far my favorite. It has an intuitive and fast interface. There were more features than I though would be included. The screen is bright and easy to read even in the full sun. Battery life and sound quality is great. It is super light and the clip is great for running/working out. The clip comes off if you don't use it. I've dropped it a couple times and it hasn't effected it. If you have XP or later, just plug it in and you can drag files into it. No need to install device specific software. The USB2.0 is fast and it charges while it's connected. I use my cell phone mini-USB charger to charge it too. The radio is decent. It lets you set presets. You can record from the built in microphone and the radio. Overall, a great full feature MP3 player in a very small package.

5 of 5 Great little MP3 player Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Lenny from Katy, TX
This little player actually produces great sound. I combined it with a Creative noise isolation headphones and the music is marvelous. Sometimes at work I don't even hear the office chatter which is great. It's compact, sexy looking and overall fun to use. To prevent my wife from taking it all the time, I got her one of her one but the 4gb version.

5 of 5 Big bang for the buck Monday, June 02, 2008
manat from Neenah, WI
Great in simplicity, hi fidelity mp3 player. The sound is as great as many reviews I read, and I bought high fidelity in-ear phones for it. Highly portable. Lots of useful features that I have not used yet. I really enjoy the 40 presets on the FM feature. The only one setback, may not be for most, is that the lowest volume setting still is too high. Perhaps because of the in-ear phones that I used. I like it so much that I bought a second one for my wife as well. Great gift idea.

5 of 5 2GB Clip is great Sunday, May 25, 2008
Tom Hession from Springfield MN
Nearly as small as the iPod shuffle, better sound, more features, lower price. Great little unit. The only thing I'd change is the earbuds. Too big for my tastes.

5 of 5 Great little MP3 Player Saturday, May 17, 2008
A Customer from Charleston WV
The first Clip I received from Buy.com had the battery run down problem. The replacement works just fine and I am very happy. It's simple to use and has GREAT sound. Buy.com replacement procedure took WAY too long, but I'm finally happy with the purchase!

3 of 5 OK but? Monday, May 05, 2008
tmalmo from PHX, AZ
I've had this for 6 months and like it but for one glitch. It wants to revoke music licenses for some but not all albums (CDs) that I have ripped to mp3 just to play on said player. They'll load onto the player but will not play. This did not happen on my other Sansa or ipod or creative units. There must be some DRM that I haven't figured out. It is VERY annoying to buy a CD then Not be able to listen to it on your new player. Hopefully there is a simple work around that I have not found yet.

5 of 5 So simple even a 50+ can use it Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Debbie from College Station, TX
I needed to get an MP3 player for my new job. I have purchased many for my kids from Creative to Ipod. I wanted something small and simple enough for me to load the thing without asking my kids for help. I was able to load it on my first try and had it playing within a few hours of getting it. Love the screen size, it is really bright, the features were so easy to figure out and it plays well. The earphones were not very comfortable so I am looking for better ones but overall for the price, easy of use and just good quality, this is a great player.

5 of 5 A Music Player Bar None Monday, April 07, 2008
A Customer from Monterey, CA
Is this thing cool or what? If one is thinking music player only, this is the one. The sound is superb. The synchronization is fast and as slick as scum off of a Louisiana swamp. The ease of play is terrific. The sound is amazing. I mean it comes out of this thing about the size of a postage stamp--maybe a little thicker. Go listen to one. It really does sound good. It also works very well with Audible Books. I have used a Nano, a Sandisk Sansa e280, a Creative Zen and an iPOD. This is by far the best of the lot for audio.

5 of 5 I am so glad I got this player! Tuesday, March 18, 2008
Sue from Dallas, Texas
I am absolutely delighted with this player. It's easy to use, very intuitive. The display is nice and crisp. The sound quality is terrific. I am amazed at the upload speed from my computer. LOVE the clip! Since I mainly use it to listen to podcasts and other types of recorded speech, sometimes I want to rewind a little in order to hear something again, and that function is so sensitive I can easily end up at the start of the file. But heck, since my last mp3 player didn't have a rewind function at all I'm not complaining loudly at all! The customer reviews of this player are what made me decide to get it, and I'm glad to add mine to the list. You won't be sorry!

5 of 5 Upgrade time Monday, March 10, 2008
JJ from Mandan, ND
This is a great little player for the price. It is handy with going to the gym clip it to my shorts, throw it in the car when I am done. Battery life is good. Sound is just as good as my old unit. It in fits in nicly with the motorcycle leathers. I can hear it over the wind noise on the highway. Headphones could be a little bit better but I can always buy new ones. I wish they had a larger storage size.

5 of 5 Absolutely Delighted Wednesday, March 05, 2008
dashah from Medina, Ohio
I have a 3rd generation Ipod Nano and I would rather use my Sansa Clip because it is convenient and more rugged. It also uses a common mini USB interface to transfer data and charge the player. My phone uses the same mini USB charger, so I do not have to carry different chargers. Very simple to use and the display is small but very very useful and intuitive. A better buy compared to the Ipod Nano and Shuffle both from price and usability point of view. I would recommend it to anyone. I fly a lot and it is convenient to carry on long flights to listen to the music. I use the included clip to clip it on my shirt sleeve cuff. Very light. The included earphones provide good sound quality. cons: I wish they have a 4 or 8 GB version. I am sure they wil come out.

5 of 5 Spiffy little mp3 player Friday, February 15, 2008
A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
I bought this as a present for a friend. Since she would never touch a keyboard for fear of breaking a nail, I had to load it up with music before I gave it to her so I had a day or two to play with it... File management is drag and drop and I found that you can use Winamp to manage plalists. The player itself is REALLY tiny, a little smaller than a Zippo lighter. The clip is removable. The display is small, but bright and easy to read and I found the menus to be quite straightforward after a short learning curve. Where this player really shines is the sound. I own an 30gb video iPod and a 2gb Cowon U3 player, and this little gadget stands up to both. I would say the sound approaches the Cowon, which is really saying something. The only quibble I have is that the headphone jack could be placed in a better location, but it's hardly a deal breaker... Amazing value for the price. I plan on getting the 4gb version once they come down in price... BTW, my friend thrilled.

5 of 5 Outstanding Value Thursday, February 14, 2008
A Customer from Estero, FL
I bought this to replace my Ipod Shuffle, which started to freeze and shut off in the middle of play. I couldn't be more impressed. The charge doesn't last quite as long as the Shuffle...but close, the quality is on par with Ipod, the features and interface are ten times better. I highly recommend! Now if I can only convert my iTune's downloads to mp3?
