4 of 5 Nice.. But headphone connection is touchy. Thursday, November 05, 2009 Stu from STL
Nice Device... would be a 5 rating. But, I have to return 1 of 2 purchased because the headphones cut in and out. It seems like something's wrong with the contact on the device.

5 of 5 VERY SURPRISED Thursday, October 29, 2009 A Customer from Hyrum, UT
I purchased this for my nine year old son. It just arrived and I was very surprised how nice this is. Much better than any of the cheap brands you would get for new. Really nice quality. I have only used the FM but the sound and reception are great. I might get another one for myself! Great buy for the money Was this review helpful?

I got two of these. One for my workouts and one to give to my daughter. They work great and are easy to load. You don't need to use bloated iTunes and you can load up more than one from a single computer.

I have a little obsession listening to radio shows via podcast. I have another MP3 player that I use for music, but that one didn't handle long files very well. The Clip is great in these respects:
(1) If you change the file's genre to "Podcast," the file is treated differently by the player and you get an automatic bookmark to resume playback where you left off.
(2) I love the fact that I don't need an armband case. I listen to this while working out, walking, or cooking, and it's fine clipped on to a shirt.
(3) Battery holds a long charge.
(4) Very fast sync (I used WMP in Vista).
For $15, this is worth every penny and more. Was this review helpful?

Short Review/
Update firmware with the free Sansa V01.01.32 patch.
Then you will have automatic bookmarking across multiple audiobooks.
Start and stop three+ unique audio books. Later pick each up at the point you were last listening. This is not exclusive to Audible content. This is an option for any mp3 files you place in the audiobook (sic) folder.
Long Review/
This was an average player yesterday with a music folder and an Audible folder. I was running my "books on tape" as mp3's out of the music folder. I was sad to miss out on the convenient bookmarking of Audible's .aa formated files; I would lose my place and that was no fun.
Then I upgraded the firmware on 5/26/2009 to V01.01.32A and that has made all the difference. Now I have a music folder a podcast folder and an audio book folder - awesome!
Each file placed in the audio book will remember where you left off; when you revisit your books on tape files you will be asked if you want to resume where you last finished listening. This is not only a bookmark, it is bookmarks galore.
You can also choose to turn chapter mode on or off; meaning that if you accidentally hit rw > ff it will not skip ahead to the next chapter, but will only advance xx seconds for each 1 second the button was depressed. You can toggle this option, but I like to have chapter mode off so that I can keep my place despite an accidental 1 second bump. There is also a hold/lock key, but I often do not engage the hold/lock so that I can turn the volume up/down based background noise levels.
There is also an option to tweak playback speed betwixt slow, normal, fast. Slow can be nice for studying a foreign language while fast can be nice for getting through long content in a shorter amount of time.
Also has a great radio, sleep time, podcast folder, and music folder where you can rate songs on the fly.
Thanks so much SanDisk! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Replaced my Shuffle Tuesday, May 26, 2009 Shawn from Hazlehurst Georgia
After I ran over my 1gig shuffle I bought this as a replacement. works great with the bonus of a screen and an FM tuner. Ear buds that came with it won't stay in my ears, I will probably upgrade to some in ear ear buds. Very satisfied Was this review helpful?

Couldn't ask for more from this player. Easy to use. Nice feature set. Just plug in, start dropping music files into the memory and you're ready to go. FM radio is a great feature. Many compare this player to the iPod shuffle because of capacity, but it is far superior! Was this review helpful?

I purchased this recorder for use in recording my qualifying songs in my Sweet Adeline chorus. It is so much better than a tape recorder, which is what I was using before. However, there was no manual with the device, and there are some things that are hard to figure out on my own. It has been hard to download my recording to send to my section leader, and the recording has had a bit of scratchiness to it. I'm not sure if I have it too loud or too close to my mouth or what the problem is. I would enjoy it a lot more if I had access to an instruction book or user manual, which I don't know how to acquire. Can anyone help? Overall, though, I am glad that I made this purchase. In fact, I also purchased one for my son for his chorus, and I learned about it from my sister, who purchased one first. I love the clip-on feature, which makes it very convenient to have hands free for choreography. Was this review helpful?

This is by far comparable to the iPod Shuffle, with only more options. This has an FM tuner, you can choose to play the songs in order or at random, you can even search by artist or music type. Very cool. Records from the radio or your own voice for quick playback. Comes with a decent set of earbuds and short usb charger/data upload cable. The body of the unit has a sturdy clip to attach to your pocket, purse, whatever. I bought two of these and will be gifting more. I think I will buy a few more just to have on hand for upcoming birthday presents. At this price, why not! Was this review helpful?

For less money than a Ipod Shuffle you get an MP3 player that also has a radio tuner, a microphone (which works well, especially if you are recording a lecture or voice lesson), and a screen! Plus, it uses a mini USB connection, so you can link it to your computer with the same cord that you probably use for all your other stuff... PLUS it doesn't need Itunes or any other specific piece of software to run! Just drag and drop... and it plays WMAs too. Yeah, so much better than a Shuffle. Was this review helpful?

I got Sansa Clip 1GB for ~$14, I'm very much pleased with product so far. I like the ease of transferring files, FM Tuner, able to record the voice, rating the songs, auto shutdown (sleep mode), last but not least the clip.
I will strongly recommend this product, if you don't want to store too many (it stores ~200 songs) and want to use in gym, running. It has good FM tuner.

5 of 5 Don't waste your money on a Shuffle! Wednesday, May 20, 2009 A Customer from Indianapolis
I love this thing! I have an Ipod Classic. That will still be my main Mp3 player. However, at the gym I would set the Ipod on the treadmill while I ran. My arm would always catch the heaphone wire and send it flying! The Sansa Clip is about the size of the shuffle, yet has a screen, fm player, and is soooo lite! Easy controls. I just clip this on my shorts and it is forgotten until the end of my workout. I go days without having to charge it. This is the first item I've purchased refurbished and it looks/works exactly as a new one. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Good value Wednesday, May 20, 2009 A Customer from MPLS, MN
This is our second, we like this thing so much. The only comment is that some of the settings are hard to find and adjust. I enjoy puzzles and so it is OK, but it could be frustrating for someone that just wants to use the device. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great MP3 player Tuesday, May 19, 2009 G. Williams from Lakeland, FL
This is a beautiful MP3 player. It's easy to use and the clip on the back is handy. It is small enough to go anywhere and I found a silicon skin for it very cheap. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 What a deal !!!! Monday, May 18, 2009 Mike from Lorain, Ohio
The 1gb Clip is by far the best purchase I've made in a long time. Great sound, easy to use and tremendous value. Beats the ipod version hands down!! If I didn't know it was recertified I would never have guessed. I will definitely be looking to purchase more of these little gadgets in the future. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best for your Buck Monday, May 18, 2009 DM Fuqua from Atlanta, GA
I needed something small to wear to the gym. I upgraded, or downsized, from a Sansa I bought 5 or 6 years ago. The size and sound quality are excellent! I have bought recertified items before from Buy.com and have never had a problem with any. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Headphones Jack Sunday, May 17, 2009 A Customer from Columbia, MO
I wanted a little guy to run with and I was happy with the price. Sounds fine. Easy to use. My only beef is that the headphones plug does not fit all the way in the jack, i.e. the plug is too long for it, so it doesn't fit in tightly and it tends to slip out. Okay when you are walking or stationary. Not so good when you are running. I'm having to constantly readjust the jack. :( Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa 1 Gig MP3 Player Saturday, May 16, 2009 Sylvester from Elizabethtown, NC

5 of 5 Sansa Recertified - The BEST Mp3 Player in the Bus Friday, May 15, 2009 Eric from Hollywood, CA
I've bought a total of 4 Sansa Refurbished Mp3 players including 2 of these 1 gig clips. They have all worked flawlessly. These are amazing deals for an excellent player. This 1 gig Clip is far superior to a 1 gig iPod as you have an great display where you can choose your music, has fm radio, and has excellent voice recorder (at church, we use this to record sermons to put on our website), and a lot of other functions. One of my best purchases ever! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 purchased recertified player Thursday, May 14, 2009 TheTimster from Mbg
I purchased a recertified player and could not be more satisfied with both the price and the quality of my SanDisk player. It is small, convenient, and is a high quality unit. I wish I would have bought several of them for gifts. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value for your money! Wednesday, May 13, 2009 Liz from Mpls, MN
I just purchased my second one of these great little gadgets. This was my first MP3 player and I quickly figured out how to download music and work all the great features it offers. My second one went to my nine year old son, he loved it, found it easy to use, (of course) and with the clip he is less likely to lose it. Great buy for your money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Perfect the gym & bus ride Wednesday, May 13, 2009 Willyboy from SF,CA
Great compact MP3 player with a great price! I use this when I go to the gym and the clip is perfect! You have a choice to listen to the radio or your mp3 music. I showed it to my co-workers and they wanted to buy it but was already sold out. This is a refurb but so far, no problems at all. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Little MP3 Player !!! Wednesday, May 13, 2009 BrianS from Chicago, IL
I got this player to take with me running and working out. I also use it on the airplane and bus to listen to audio books. It's simple to use, lightweight, and comfortable to wear. Clips to your belt or other clothing and doesn't come loose. 1GB is plenty room for audio books and a lot of music. The FM radio gets great reception to. It's designed to sync up with Windows Media Player, so it's easy to rip and load music. However, if you want your whole music library on your MP3 player, then you will need another player with more memory and/or a memory slot. But for me, this is ideal. Also, this is a refurb but so far, no problems at all. I even got a few more players for friends and family. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Compact and convenient Wednesday, May 13, 2009 Andrew from Aberdeen, MD
I bought this little guy to replace an older player that was starting to have some issues. I was pleasantly surprised! Not expecting much because of the low, low price, I was very happy to find the Clip simple to use, both for playing and loading songs. It works and works well, and it's small enough to make running with it (my primary use) exceptionally simple. Just clip it on and away you go! Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 even mom can use it Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Aaron from Lincoln, NE
I gave this mp3 player to my mom for mother's day. Even though she is not the most tech-savvy indiviudal, she has been successfully using it for a week when she exercises. We have bought Sansa products from buy.com before and found them to work well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little product Tuesday, May 12, 2009 A Customer from Vacaville CA
I purchased 2 1Gigs and later purchased the 8Gig version. Small but easy to use. One of the best features I found was that you can delete a song without using computer. Great for when you thought you recorded one song and didn't. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I was so surprised with the quality Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Rev. Kevin C. Thomas from Detroit, Michigan
I needed this mp3 player because it had voice recording, which my larger Sansa didn't have. I was so surprised when I received it to see it was packed with features I never thought of. I can record FM radio inside the device, YEAH!!! The sound quality is great and it's a welcome addition to my Sansa family. I couldn't believe the price or the smoothness of the delivery process. I look forward to catching more deals on Buy.com. If anyone is thinking about buying this little gizmo at is worth whatever price you pay, believe me. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good things do come in small packages! Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Ruthie K from Long Island, NY
Amazing little MP3 player...I love it! A friend recently bought one (at full price) and I couldn't get over at how compact it was. Who needs those fancy video functions...I could care less about watching movies or photo slide shows, that's why I have a Sony PSP. The Sansa Clip will satisfy all your music needs!!! I especially love the fm tuner and voice recording features. You will not regret your purchase from Buy.com, just go for it already! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 good buy Monday, May 11, 2009 A Customer from Washington, D.C.
I got this for my mom for mother's day. It is a good first MP3 player. It came with a recent firmware and was easy to update. Syncing with WMP11 is very easy and I taught her how to rip her CDs and download it to the player. WMP11 uses the MTP mode, which I have had no problems with. The radio works well and it has an auto-preset function that is useful. I tested the voice recording and it sounds suprisingly good. It came with earbuds and a usb-mini cable. It took awhile to give it a full charge on usb. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Wonderful Saturday, May 09, 2009 A Customer from Edgartown, MA
Great little player in terms of sound and easy function. The clip is such a handy feature -- means you don't need to wear a lanyard around your neck. My favorite feature, though, is in the firmware and should be standard on players like this: when you navigate away from a long audiobook file and want to go back, you get a little menu that lets you choose between beginning at the beginning, or resuming where you were in the story. This saves untold fast-forwarding time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Can't beat the value for the price Saturday, May 09, 2009 A Customer from Granbury, Tx
Ordered 2 of these, recieved them within a week with free shipping. I liked them better than the IPOD shuffle because of the display. 1GB not a huge amount of memory but for the price...can't beat it. Strong clip and small size is perfect for exercising, which is why I bought one for my husband and one for myself. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Sansa Clip Refurb Thursday, May 07, 2009 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
Sounds great, small and easy to carry. No instructions came with it, and still trying to figure out a few "how-to's" (doesn't quite work the same as my others). Great price. Headset is good, though it pops out of my ears during running, I think the foam is a bit too large for me. Otherwise, a good little unit for an excellent price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Compact Sanza Clip MP3 player - Handy Wednesday, May 06, 2009 Mike from Nebraska
Purchased three of these units. One for myself and the other two are for presents. Great price for present either for Christmas or for birthdays.
Easy to use and to download music to the unit. No special software was needed. Great sound, and the FM radio is great.
I would recommend these MP3 units anytime. The refurbished units work just like the new ones. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 169 reviews
