My wife bought this player for my birthday in June. After two months of use, I have nothing but good tings to say about it. It's so small and light that you forget you're wearing it. The controls are intuitive - I had no trouble using the player without consulting the documentation - and the display is large enough and bright enough to be easily read, even for my over 50 eyes. You can select a song, artist or album, random play or play all, providing all the options to easily find what you're in the mood to hear.
The clip is very versatile and can be attached to almost anything, thin (shirt pocket or sleeve) or thick (belt) and I've never had in come loose. Plentiful storage (I have over 300 CD's loaded into the player and still have almost half of the 8 GB memory available). I've never liked ear buds, but the pair that come with this player are so comfortable that I've forgone my mini earphones in favor of the light and easily packed ear buds shipped with the unit.
The only negative experience I've had with the player was when I first plugged in the ear buds. Though it felt like they were fully seated (and I didn't want to force the connection), the sound cut in and out. I applied a bit more force to the plug and it clicked in that extra 1/8 inch and everything has been perfect since! Moral of the story - you might have to use a bit more force than expected the first few times you plug in the ear buds or ear phones. This was a minor inconvenience and probably a result of me being more gentle than I needed to be (the player is pretty tough).
I highly recommend this MP3 - given the features and usability, it's a steal for the price! Was this review helpful?

I have had the Sansa Clip 8gb for about a month now & I am so happy with it. I generally listen to audiobooks on my MP3 players, but I have a bit of music on the Clip as well. I cannot believe the sound quality, it is great.
This is my second Sansa, my 1gb m240 cost almost as much as this one, so I'm happy prices have come down a bit. The old Sansa is still working & I have used it for recording as well as playing. The Clip has a few more features and so far, I'm very pleased. But most of all I love the display. The blue on black really works, I can see it so well, even the small font. And it is bright...such a tiny display on a tiny player & I could not be happier.
Another feature I like is the ability to rewind or fast forward beyond the part of the book currently playing. I have used it with Overdrive, which is the download program with my local library.
I definitely recommend this little player...it works like a charm & is about the size of one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love It! Friday, May 22, 2009 crnurse from vallejo, Ca
Love 'the clip' - it is small - but, very easy to use - user friendly and the 8Gb is awesome. Beats iPod hands down. I would recommend this to everyone. Was this review helpful?

The Sandisk Clip is an excellent, small, very functional mp3 player. The sound quality is excellent, the screen sharp, the overall size easy to handle, and the FM tuner / FM recorder / voice recorder are excellent add-ons. The local NFL team's games are broadcast on FM, with associated pre and post-game shows. I may watch the game on TV, but listen to the post-game show while I am out. If I go to a movie with friends, I will record the post-game show using the built-in FM recorder, and listen to it on the bus home. IMO, the best small size mp3 player on the market Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great product Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Olive from Chicago, IL
I recently got an 8GB Sansa clip and love it! It is small and lightweight and the supplied software is not needed to download music - I used itunes just because it was already on my computer - just make sure that the files you download are in MP3 format otherwise they don't show in the menu. Overall I love it - easy to use and much lighter than my previous creative labs MP3 player. Would definitely recommend. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Number 1 by "Anythingbutipods.com" Thursday, January 08, 2009 Steve from Raleigh, NC
This unit is the best mp3 player for your money on the market. It has amazing sound quality. Intuitive menus. Great design. Just be sure you check with sansa and be certain you keep the latest firmware on the unit.
Sansa is the best manufacturer of mp3 players in the world. Your best alternative to IPOD is Sansa. Just try this unit, you won't regret your decision. 1200 songs on one unit for $70, how can you go wrong.
I gave this unit as a Christmas gift and everyone just loves it.
