5 of 5 Overall Best of the Last 5 MP3 Players Saturday, December 27, 2008 Jeff from Milwaukee, WI
Have owned five MP3 players over the last several years and this one is the best overall. The pros are the small size, 4GB, the built in clip, equilizer feature works well, sleep timer, and excellent battery life. The cons: (1)cannot turn volume down low enough (for sleeping) must use an external volume control (e.g. Koss) (2) cannot swap out the battery so must be mindful of the battery charge indicator.
Note that I have all my music by CD and simply copy all those onto the "Clip" and set the "Clip" to play then in random order. It remembers all my settings such as equilizer, random order, FM stations, etc. Excellent product for $42. :)

5 of 5 great buy! Wednesday, December 24, 2008 Dan from Philly
This mp3 player is great for the price... Its better and cheaper than an ipod with similar capacity:
It requires no third party software (e.g.: iTunes, music match, Rhapsody, etc.)-just drag and drop files onto the player. (In order to use the mp3 player this way just go to settings and change the USB mode from MTP to MSC 'mass storage class'.)
Led screen lets you easily navigate through albums to select your songs. And the clip is great for jogging or working out. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Happy with music! Wednesday, December 24, 2008 Ammie from Brooklyn, NY
I was surprised by the size of this MP3 player, but very impressed, so far, by the clarity of the songs that come out of it (using my earplugs which were cheap). As everyone knows MP3's have a short life span, so I will enjoy this while I can. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice Little Product. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Scott from Vandalia OH
This MP3 player is exactly what it states. It is very light and the clip on is great for working out or even at work (small and discrete) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little unit Wednesday, November 26, 2008 Dean S. from Silverthorne
I don't care for using Rhapsody but have had success with other audio files including digital books. The unit is easy to use and keeps a charge for a long time. The clip doesn't stay on very well but it fits easily into a pocket. I use better earplugs than what came with the unit. Overall great product! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little MP3 player Saturday, November 15, 2008 A Customer from Cumming, GA
Easy to operate but had to switch modes to interface with XP to charge and download music. The auto feature did not work but found the solution on the website. Was this review helpful?

Good value, delivered on time, not so easy to use but it's worth the price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Super Value for the $$$ Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Adzynr from Miami Beach, FL
I bought this because it's a 4g on a clip- great price compared to all my ipods, but definitely disappointing that it won' sync with any of my iTunes libraries- you have to drag and drop and no way of managing the library unless it's on rhapsody. I don't know why Apple can't bundle as much on their clip for a great price like this. I did call support re the sync and they have A-1 support! Apple should take a few lessons. 1 of 5 Would love it if it didn't keep on breaking Friday, October 31, 2008 waly from Austin, TX
It's hard to write this review because I've really enjoyed my clip, when it's worked, that is.
I've sent two back, and now I'm still awaiting my third one to get her from Sansa.
They both just quit working, though the first one might have been because of condensation in the unit, which might have been partly my fault.
The problem is that the units are advertised as being for active use. Which they're great for! They're light, relatively easy to use when you're on the run and impervious to bumps and shimmies.
But, and this is a big but, they're not waterproof. They're apparently not even water resistant. My first one died, no doubt, because I was carrying it in my sweaty pocket on a humid day on a 13 mile run and it got wet inside.
The second one died for no apparent reason.
We'll see how the third one does.
Sandisk has been great about sending me new ones, though it takes awhile. More than a month each time, actually.
My iPod Nano, on the other hand, just keeps on ticking.
Oh well. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Excellent Mp3 player Sunday, September 28, 2008 S10Ryan from WV
this MP3 player is awesome!!
the Clip is small and light, i hardly know its on.
It has a screen that is easy to read and does not drain the battery. The clip is excellent for working out or just everyday use and the battery lasts a long time! I've had it for over 2 weeks and this is MP3 has far exceeded my expectations! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa clip is a gem of a MP3 player. Sunday, September 28, 2008 A Customer from Phoenix, AZ

5 of 5 Good product, a little bit confusing Saturday, September 27, 2008 A Customer from Port Orchard, WA
It's a great product overall. Sometimes I get confused with the button in the middle and the button with the right arrow. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 very nice Saturday, September 27, 2008 A Customer from moore, ok
This little mp3 player rocks! very easy to use, just drag and drop through windows explorer. Don't install the software that comes with it, you don't have to. The drivers are built into the firmware on the player kind of like a flash drive. The software is just to sell you music through their service.

4 of 5 Great product Thursday, September 25, 2008 zmedeiros from Pawtucket, RI
This player is very small, has a great sound (though I am not using the headphones that came with it), and has a great battery life. I love the fact that it has a clip, so that I do not have to hold it while I run. The only draw back is that charging the battery is done through your computer USB port. Invest in an AC adapter. 5 of 5 SUPER! Thursday, September 25, 2008 Debs from Cupertino, CA
I don't think I can give this little beauty enough praise. I bought the 2GB version on sale at buy.com for $29.99 and was so thrilled that the next week when the 4GB version was available on sale for $49.99 I got one of those as well. You cannot beat the price performance. The sound quality is excellent (and I consider myself quite an audiophile). The feature set is everything you could ask for as well. I am REALLY well pleased with both purchases. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great deal for $50 Thursday, September 25, 2008 TJK from PA
Nice unit. Convenient with good sound. So small and lightweight that you realize your wearing when exercising. My sound intermittenly goes out maybe a short with the headphones. Great deal when on sale. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 good for the price Wednesday, September 24, 2008 A Customer from califonia
To a 4GB mp3, this is a really good price and I'm really satisfied with its performance. good sound quaility when using myself's earphone to hear.it's a small one with clip, which is very suitable for using while doing sports.
There are two small drawbacks i think it should improve. First is that I cannot classify the songs by myself. i mean, i can put it in different folders when i'm putting songs into it, but when i play it, it just cannot be classified by the folders i made, only can be classified by singers, albums and so on. The other thing is that i'm using a FM transmitter to use it in my car, but i found the low voice doesn't sound nice, but anyway i don't know if it's the mp3's problem or the transmitter's problem.
But anyway, it's a good one. and it really worth the price.i'm happy with my buying here. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little player Wednesday, September 24, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, Illinois
This is a great MP3 player to take to the gym, very small and light. Very easy to load songs, only negative is that the FM signal is a little weak.
Overall very good value for the money. Same price as Ipod shuffle, but includes a nice screen which allows you to chose the song or artist, and also has built in FM radio plus voice recorder Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa Clip is a very good MP3 player Wednesday, September 24, 2008 Tim from Hartsville, SC
I read many reviews before making my first MP3 purchase. I decided on the Sansa 4 GB Clip for the features and good reviews. I made the right choice. This player has great sound, smaller than a box of matches and long battery life. It is so easy to use...just plug in to computer, copy your music and select play all music. You can also create a playlist. The sound is awesome. The only small negatives I have is the ear buds do not fit well and I wish the battery was user replaceable. I plan on purchasing a new set of earbuds soon. Every one of my friends wants one. My next purchase will be one of these for my wife. I got it on sale at Buy.com for less than most 2 GB MP3 players. Take a chance...you want be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Super MP3 source for motorcycle Wednesday, September 24, 2008 Fred from Londonderry, NH
I already had a 20GB iPod that I can fit all of my music on and I also have a 1GB iPod Shuffle for running with, but on longer motorcycle trips I wanted a larger flash based MP3 player, something that would hold more than 250 songs and not lock up from the vibration.
The 4GB Sansa Clip is perfect. I just rode 2500 miles over the last 7 days and never listened to the same song twice. One bummer is that the blue display screen is NOT daylight readable, which I was hoping it would be, but I put mine on continuous play, shuffle and just let her rip.
Definitely a worthy player for any application. Intuitive controls. Good sound quality, and an equalizer function to adjust for different headphones / speakers. The ear buds they supply are junk, but you should already have guessed they would be. Not sure why they always feel compelled to supply them. But I guess they would only be able to knock off $1 without them...

5 of 5 Superb Value Wednesday, September 24, 2008 A Customer from Berkeley, CA
This little player packs more than enough features for the everyday listener. The headphones that come standard does no justice to the great sound quality that can be heard if one were to upgrade to a nicer pair of headphones. I strongly recommend this player for several reasons: small-compact-portable size, value, a fair amount of supported audio formats, clip, and nice display. Hope this helps. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Small MP3 Player Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Rob from Portland, OR
The clip 4 GB is a good MP3 player if you want something small and easy to carry. I prefer it over the iPod shuffle, because it has an LCD screen and actual menus. I use it at the gym and it is perfect, I have yet to have it pop off and I don;t have to wear a goofy arm band. It has playlists and I can delete songs off of it when I get bored with them.
The one thing I don't like about it is when it is locked, and you press the Home button, instead of showing the song playing, it shows the lock icon. Now, I know it is locked, but it would be helpful if I could at least see the title of the song instead of the padlock. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for college Tuesday, September 23, 2008 A Customer from Boston, MA
The Sansa Clip holds almost everything I need in one little player. The voice recorder is great! It picks up sound really well, I can sit in the very back of large lecture hall and the Sansa picks up the voice clearly (lecturer doesn't wear a mic). The radio is decent, I haven't found anything wrong with it. The mp3 plays music with great quality. The earbuds that came with the player aren't that great but I use my own earbuds. For the price I got it, it is definitely a better buy than the iPod shuffle.
My only concern is that the clip slides off VERY easily. The clip snaps up into a notch behind the player, but it snaps off just as easily it snaps on.
Other than that, this is a great product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing music machine Tuesday, September 23, 2008 A Customer from Carrollton, GA
After wasting several hundred dollars on hard drive players that don't work, this is a real gem. The sound is excellent! I can delete files right from the menu. The radio tuner is easy to use. I pasted all my music files into it and it organized everything. I'm a little slow getting used to the menu seletions but i'm 61 years old. A great purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa Clip is a great MP3 player Tuesday, September 23, 2008 A Customer from Lake Jackson, TX

5 of 5 Simply the Best!! Tuesday, September 23, 2008 JoelG from San Francisco CA
Having enjoyed Zen Nomad & Toshiba Gigabyte, I was not prepared for something so small to be so complete and easy to use. There is no downside- the sound is superb, the controls are super easy, music transfer could not be more simple (drag&drop), Playlists a snap to produce.. and the battery lasts forever (well, 15 hours anyway) enough for a trans-ocean flight. And unlike its competition, it has an fm tuner and a recorder function with sensitive mic. If it only had 20GB, I could load my whole library!! Never mind, it's still great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Sound & super easy to use. Buy It !! Thursday, September 18, 2008 Greg from Birmingham, Al
I have had about every brand of Mp3 player on the market and this is my fav. it has all of the features of the more expensive (Ipod) and it super easy to use. no software to deal with, just copy & paste or drag & drop your music.
get this player. you will not be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great, once you get it working Monday, September 15, 2008 JECliff from Hamersville, OH
Out of the box and plugged it in to a USB port. Windows XP appeared to recognize and install. I skipped the mini CD containing the Rhapsody software as I think it simpler to treat these players as a disk drive and click and drag my MP3 files as necessary. The Rhapsody disc is a 30 trial of the music service.
The trouble is that the player did not show as a removable storage device under My Computer as shown in the mini-manual. I booted Windows Media Player and it seen the player just fine, but would not load my selected files because it wanted to access the web to check for DRM licenses. Since all my music was ripped from older CD's years ago I have no DRM files and not about to repay for music I own.
I was about to package for a return when thumbing through the Settings menu I stumbled upon USB Mode. There you are presented with 3 options:
Auto Detect (default)
MTP (Media Transport Protocol)
MSC (Media Storage Class)
In the Auto Detect mode the player will not show as a drive in MS Windows XP,(likely Vista as well) because of DRM (digital rights management).
Likewise selecting "MTP" has the same results as that is the DRM mode.
If like me you want the simplicity of 'click & drag' your music files without the encumbrance of service download packages then select the MCS option.
Other than that, good sound and ample volume. Menu is simple, bright and easy to read. Downers are: must plug in to a USB port to recharge the battery. Battery is not user changeable. All in all good bang for the buck. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great buy Monday, August 18, 2008 Josh from Richmond VA
I was looking for an MP3 player small enough and light weight with 4 GB space. I did not care much about the video functionality. iPod is way more expensive than this player. This is extremely small, in fact, looking at the dimensions except for thickness, its comparable to iPod nano 4 GB. Sound quality is excellent. I prefer controls that I can press, instead of scroll wheel controls. Its easier to nagivate thru songs while you are running and exercising. Screen is well lit, and large enough with necessary info. The only issue I see with the playlists is that, this player does not remember where you left off in a particular play list. The playlist always starts from the first song. I am not sure how it is in iPod and other MP3 players. But I can live with that. I think I am definitely going to continue using it for next couple of years at least. The arm-band was rather hard to find online. Finally got it from circuitcity, but was rather expensive at 15 $. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little player Monday, August 18, 2008 Mojo from Virden, IL
Got this mainly for use during my workouts, as my old mp3 player always seemed to get wrapped around my arm, pulled out of my ears, etc. from running the cord from my armband mount thru my shirt. This little guy i clip right to the front of my neck line slid halfway up the side and just let the excess cord drop down the front of my shirt - much less hassle with the cord this way. I bought a case for this on sale at a local electronics store to protect from scratches, and sweat since the mirror finish on this would definitely scratch easy. Sound quality is amazing on this, and if you don't have good sound on your songs, you may consider a different program for making your mp3s or maybe different headphones (I like bullet shaped earbuds for more bass, so I don't use the headset that came with this player). It's great so far! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little Clip MP3 player... Monday, August 18, 2008 A Customer from Round Rock, TX
I had this product for 2 weeks now. It's been great so far, I use on treadmill, cycling and in the car plugged in to aux jack. The ear phone are not that great and I didn't expected them to be great. Love it. Thanks Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent, few flaws, but better than anything els Friday, August 15, 2008 Luke M from Hillsborough, NJ
I love this mp3 player!! Everything i could ever want. Scrolls through songs faster than other sansa models. goes through my whole collection of artists in 5 seconds when you're holding down the button(i hate when scrolling is slow). Earbuds that come with it are decent, better than ipod's, but a week of use, and its already stripping at the plug end. nice clear screen. Allows for Star ratings 1-5. Go list. Hold switch.
I also got a silicon case for it. works well, yet it covers the mic and the rubber makes it harder to get out of my pocket sometimes.Lights are a little dimmer
Cons:
No clock
short usb cord
no ac charger included, but i bought a coby usb charger along with it.
I use winamp to load songs, never touched the CD
No way to replace the battery when it runs out someday. No opening whatsoever Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great little player Tuesday, July 22, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
Extremely light. Clip works well. I've run on track, treadmill, stair climber, etc. and have not had it fall off my shorts.
I do wish there were more options for searching for songs and that it was possible to make playlists on the player itself, but minor inconvieniences. Great little MP3 player Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wife Loves It! Tuesday, July 15, 2008 Lenny from Katy, TX
Bought this for the wifey and she's amazed. This little player actually produces great sound. I also got her a Creative noise isolation headphones and the music is marvelous. She mainly uses it at the gym. It's compact, sexy looking and overall fun to use. She wonders why she ever wanted a Nano. Was this review helpful?

I've had this little mp3 player for a couple weeks now and it is great! I wear it walking, jogging, and around the house. The mp3 function is on par with other players. The radio feature is a nice addition that I use almost as much as the mp3 function. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Was this review helpful?
