5 of 5 great for the gym or a health walk Saturday, February 28, 2009
lolvark from New York, NY

Since I already own a Sansa e250 portable music player, which I use every day and I am very happy with, I expected a lot from the Sansa Clip. I was not disappointed. It is a very small music player with very good sound and great battery life. Using Windows Media Player to transfer music to the Clip is as easy as it can be. With our music collection on a home server, I can load music on the Clip from any PC in the house through WMP. Everything seems to be working as expected. Navigation works well and the display of the music titles is clear. The clip is great value for the price and won't disappoint.

5 of 5 Great MP3 player. Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Nick from Louisville, KY
I can't imagine a better MP3 player for the money. I listen to rap, rock, drum & bass, and trance and they all sound good on this player. It has a good rich surround sound feel and the bass hits pretty hard. The 5 band EQ isn't very good though because when you raise one band it cuts the others. You won't need the EQ though. I chose this over the Ipod Shuffle because the Shuffle is over priced, has 0 features, and doesn't sound any better. I chose this over the Creative Stone because of looks, price, and lack of clip.

5 of 5 Small - perfect workout buddy Thursday, December 25, 2008
Tarzan from SAn Antonio, Texas.
These Sansa Clips are very small and very capable MP3 players. Built in tuner works great (even in the gym), sound quality is very good, and the unit is perfect for clipping to your colar, pocket, or sleave when you are exercising. I prefer them to the small Ipod Shuffles because the Sansa Clips have the tuner and the small lcd screen.

5 of 5 Great Little Player! Sunday, October 26, 2008
A Customer from Enid, OK
I use the Sansa for my students to record test answeres on, listen to stories or textbooks on and record my lectures for students who are absent. It stays charged a long time, and is easy to use. I just drag and drop the files I want.

5 of 5 Dynamite little mp3 player Wednesday, August 13, 2008
Dave R from Southington,CT
I have been buying Sandisk Mp3 players for years as an alternative to Apple Ipods. I like the fact they have always had FM tuners, screens so you can see what's playing, and on other models, I could watch podcasts and movies clips. Having a rechargeable battery is a must for me personally. This model just does music, which is all I need for walking my dog. I am amazed at how small it is and how great the sound comes out. Truly another great product from Sandisk. By the way, all my other players are still working, it's just my 13 year old daughter keeps taking them on me ;-)

5 of 5 Love this MP3 Player Sunday, August 03, 2008
dan12 from St. Louis, MO
The Sansa Clip is an awesome little MP3 player. I use it primarily for exercise but it's also my lifeline to NPR (I have to give a shout out to KWMU in St. Louis). The Clip's screen, FM radio, and price make it a much better value than the iPod Shuffle. I don't like how the clip part comes off easily...ok, so I lost mine. But I called Sandisk and they are sending me a new one (only once) free of charge! My biggest problem with the player is trying to prevent my sister from stealing it from me.

5 of 5 Geeks will love it too! Friday, June 13, 2008
Tom the Toolman from Richboro, PA
Great little player. My wife, a non-geek, wants something *very simple* for the gym; this fills the bill perfectly. For me, the important thing is that this player supports MSC mode (an internal setting). It comes initially set to MTP mode, which means you MUST use Windows Media Player to sync, and WMP will NOT let you take music from the device to your computer--it's One Way Only! With MSC mode, the player just looks like a removable USB drive! You can use your own syncing software to go either direction. You can guess which mode I prefer! **Linux users!** My Kubuntu system would not properly handle the player in MTP mode (even with the latest libmtp installed); but in MSC mode, it should work fine (haven't tried it yet).

5 of 5 Beats my other 2 MP3 players anytime... Sunday, June 08, 2008
Frank from Mobile, AL
I have both iPod and Lexar MP3 players. This clip is great. It has plenty of storage, long battery life and convenient size. The size is my favorite feature since I am a runner and wear this on my runs. It is easy to use with no difficult menus. I got mine on sale, so it was an extra great deal. If it goes on sale again I'm going to buy some for gifts.

5 of 5 Great as a gift! Tuesday, June 03, 2008
A Customer from KOP PA
I got this for my mother and she loves it! Its compact size is easy for her to use when she goes for a walk... sound quality is good - so is the battery life. The display is good enough for her to read. Good value for money... if you are looking for a simple Music Player without fancy frills and stuff, this is it!

5 of 5 Great Little mp3 player Saturday, May 31, 2008
Kirk S. from Tucson
I've had an iPod shuffle for awhile and liked it but it went south on me. Picked up two Clips on a special and found them to be a great little player for the price. Big kudos for including a screen in such a small package. Easy to use. None of the descriptions I've seen tell you that one can also record FM using the recording feature. I've recorded meetings for later review and FM for later listening of talk shows I didn't want to miss! I kept returning to Buy.com to see if they would go back on special but didn't want to pay double what I paid for this unit. Oh well....got mine while I could! Highly recommended.

5 of 5 Great player Saturday, May 31, 2008
A Customer from Jax, FL
This is such a great deal. Use with Rhapsody-to-Go service and you don't have to worry about only 1 GB storage. Radio works quite well, all controls super simple to use. There is simply no better mobile MP3 player out there.

5 of 5 iPod Alternative Friday, May 30, 2008
Mike from Fort Mill, SC
I purchased the 1GB Sansa Clip as sort of a disposable mp3 player that I could listen to while exercising and doing yardwork due to the low price and rebate offer. I have been very impressed with the sound quality and the ease of use the Clip offers. Windows XP sees the Clip as a HDD and adding mp3 files is truly drag and drop easy. I have also used Winamp to load playlists and mp3 files on the Clip as well. SanDisk has made updating the firmware to the latest version really easy and they are constantly updating and improving the player this way. The latest software adds a folder especially for PODCASTS which I listen to almost daily. The FM radio reception picks up most area stations and seems high quality and is a nice addition to the player. Potential buyers should be aware that the Clip's battery is only recharged thru the mini USB port on the side of the unit and does not include an AC adapter. I usually charge while connected to the PC but I have also been able to charge the Clip with a Motorola Razr/Slvr AC adapter that uses that same USB connector. Conclusion: Great value, long battery life, awesome audio quality, ease of use, and small form factor make the Sansa Clip a good choice for someone looking for something other than the restrictive nature and DRM limitations associated with Apple iPod products and iTunes.

5 of 5 What a Surprise...It Works Great Friday, May 30, 2008
A Customer from Patrick, SC
I bought this for my wife and she loves it. This small MP3 player works great. Plug it into a USB port, copy your music folders to the music folder on the player, let the battery charge and your done. Now just listen to your music. Why pay for the name I-POD when this Sansa player works great? You don't need to subscribe to the Rhapsody service either unless you want the latest music.

5 of 5 Great little mp3 player Thursday, May 29, 2008
James from fenton, MO
I bought 2 of these. My wife got her first mp3 player, and I'm using the other for workouts. We're very pleased with the package. I used WMP to sync music to the device, and had absolutely no problems. I also tried the drag and drop method with no problems. I was very impressed with the volume. Even running on a treadmill doesn't require turning up the volume. I'm no audiophile, so I can't comment too much on the sound itself. It sounds good to my ears. Navigation makes sense to me, and my wife picked it up pretty quickly also. All in all, I'd say it's a winner.

5 of 5 Lasted 2 weeks Wednesday, May 28, 2008
haroldclements from Kentfield, CA
Great product, loved the sound. Then the FM just quit. I know, I know, they probably will take care of it. But it quit and now I have to go through the repair process. As if I have nothing else to do. What a pain!

5 of 5 Even works with audible.com Thursday, May 08, 2008
A Customer from Mechanicsburg, PA
I love this little Mp3 player. I also have a 60gig toshiba gigabeat (which is the best player I have ever used/seen) that I use for all my music. I use the clip when I am doing yoga and it works great. I love the fact that I can download audio books straight from audible.com. You'll also get a free book download with the sansa clip! Why they didn't advertise that I don't know.

5 of 5 Terrific product! Wednesday, April 30, 2008
A Customer from Irvine, CA
I was pleasantly surprised by the product. So small, long battery life, great sound, easy navigation, etc. Does turn off too soon when paused. Does not work with Mac OSX (though I could load songs on it with my Mac, they were not seen by my PC). So small I take it everywhere and the clip is just what I needed for workouts.

I am more than thrilled with this player! It is easy to use, easy to transfer music from CD to player, and of course easy to buy songs from the internet to put onto the player. I am in my 50's, and use this player while cleaning house, running on the treadmill and I LOVE it! Buy it.....you'll be happy with your purchase.

1 of 5 Absolute Junk Tuesday, January 08, 2008
MJK from Mendocino County, CA
I ordered this for my son on November 4, 2007 (received a week later). It lasted about three weeks, then the screen abruptly went out. NO damage, NO misuse/mishandling. Contacted SanDisk's "technical support" [sic] on 12/8, was told to email them a copy of my authorized retailer’s receipt, and then they'd be happy to send out a replacement without me having to return the defective. On 12/11, the "support" staff wrote me via their website-based "support message" system asking me to verify what packaging it originally came in, implying it was a refurb or gray-market product (despite the AUTHENTIC authorized retailer’s receipt already provided). I explained I ordered it from a SanDisk authorized retailer, not a third-party seller, it came in genuine retail packaging, and was NOT gray market. On 12/19, I was informed via the above-mentioned message system my trouble ticket was closed and a new RMA ticket was opened. I was also asked for the Serial Number of the product, and my phone number (both provided on 12/8, in order to even open the trouble ticket). I called in again to ask why they couldn't get the facts straight, was told that the first staff on 12/8 was wrong about me not having to return the defective, and was promptly provided the RMA and UPS label email, after the staff I spoke with saw I was right (required info already on file). On 12/26, SanDisk received my returned product. On 1/2, I inquired about replacement shipping status. I was told via the message system that it would be "5-7 days" (quote unquote) for the replacement to ship from date of receipt (12/26). Today, 1/8, I called in to find out about shipment status, and was told that it would be "7-10 days" instead, despite the message from her colleague. My kid bought this with his own hard-earned money (I simply ordered it for him), and is now out the product for nearly a month. I broke down out of sympathy for him, and bought him a Sony Walkman mp3 player at a local store to replace the Sansa Clip (at twice the price). I also called SanDisk HQ to ask about help in getting the replacement shipped ASAP. No response from SanDisk HQ in Milpitas, CA, yet. DO NOT BUY THIS product or any SanDisk products until they improve both their quality control AND their "customer service/technical support" practices. I’ve been a SanDisk “fan” of many years, but that era is over.

5 of 5 Perfect for the gym. Tuesday, December 04, 2007
Dan from Mays Landing, NJ
I only use this mp3 player at the gym. For my needs it's perfect. I don't use the FM feature or the recording capability. The ear buds are worthless, but that's true of almost all mp3 players. Great sound and large capacity in a small package...Perfect!

5 of 5 Very nice Thursday, November 29, 2007
A Customer from Maine
I love this mp 3 player. It is easy to use and has good sound. The clip is great for working out or going anywhere. I was a little, very little, disappointed in that at Best Buy they have the 2 gig for the same price. Either way, 1 gig or 2, you can't beat it.

4 of 5 Great for the cost Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Heather from Rocky Mount, NC
I ordered this product and was able to get $10 off by using google checkout for the first time. Meanwhile I was able to purchase the 2GB version in Pink as a doorbuster on black Friday from another vender. I have 400+ songs on my 2GB already so you should be able to get at least 200 on the 1GB. I love this product! It is definately worth more than I paid for it. There are a couple of faults but overall it is great. I have never had an MP3 player before but I am pretty Tech savey. It still took me some time to figure out how to load music on it and use it. (I didn't read the instructions and had trouble getting the software provided to load onto my Vista unit) Once I got it figured out it is a breeze to opperate. (Fault #1) - You can't use it if you are charging it from your USB port. However if you can find an AC adapter (sold seperately) you can still listen to it while it is pluged. I get at least 15hours of play out of it and love the sleep mode. I have been able to Sync it with my Windows Media player but (Fault #2) I can't access the FM Radio through the Media player and the radio doesn't pick up very well in the building that I work in but does fine once I am outside or at home away from power lines and metal roofs. Keep in mind that depending on the position of your desk in this building all radios are tough to pick up signal for more than 2-3 stations. This is truely a great product - Hats off to ScanDisk for yet another winner. - Do you homework if you are patient you can get a 1GB around $28 and a 2GB for about $35. - Merry Chirstmas and Happy Shopping.

5 of 5 Great product. Friday, November 09, 2007
Smik Lakhani from Lewisburg, PA
The SanDisk Sansa Clip 1GB MP3 Player is an amazing buy. When I started my search for an mp3 player I laid out a criteria which is as follows: - Affordable Price (unlike the iPod or Zune) - Suitable storage (1GB+ so I can store about 250 songs) - Small Size (so that I could clip it or put it in my pocket) - Rechargeable battery with a long life - Durability (so it wouldn't end up breaking easily) The new SanDisk Sansa clip-on player fits all these criteria and comes with added functionality - an FM Radio (with 40 preset channels), voice (and radio) recording functionality, as well as the ability to read audio books. All in all, a great buy!

5 of 5 WOW!!! Sunday, October 28, 2007
Todd from Grand Haven, Michigan
This is one of the best MP3 players I have seen in a long time. Even though it is tiny and cheap, it has about the best sound quality you will ever find. It is very light and functional. The display is small, but easy to read and bright. The menue system is good and lets you search through songs by title, album, and artist. The FM tuner does not pick up much and the headphones are pretty much junk (like almost all shipping MP3 players). The only bug I found is if you have a very long MP3 file, like an audio book, it displays a progress bar and time elapsed. The problem is the hour didget never changes from "0". This will likely be fixed with a fermware upgrade. One nice feature is that they have massively improved the fast forward with a progressively accelerated FF. More colors, especially in the 1GB versions would have been nice. It uses a standard mini-USB cable for data and charging. It requires no software or drivers and syncs using WMP.

5 of 5 Just right! Wednesday, October 24, 2007
F. Norris from Santa Cruz, CA
This little device is so easy to use and even easier to set up. I didn't need to download a program to use it, and it works on Mac AND PC! I'm in love with this MP3 player because it's so simple, has great sound, excellent for taking anywhere, and the battery life is way better than an iPod. I definitely recommend this product not only because it has simple, easy-to-use features, it's stylish as well. For sure, it's a great value for the money.
