4 of 5 Small and Simple Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Eddie from Tampa, Fl

I have had mine for 1 year. It is nice in that it is small and simple to use. It has an expansion slot but only up to 1GB. It is nothing fancy but a good mp3 player for the price ( i got mine for 20). It is like a honda civic, nothing fancy but cheap and reliable. Excellent battery life and the battery is replacable (but still proporitary).

1 of 5 Chinese Crap Friday, July 03, 2009
t nguyen from portland, or
This mp3 stops working and freezes for no reason. I have to take the battery out and put it back on to restart it. And that happened almost every time. So save yourself pain and time by spending another $30 for a new one. It now sit somewhere in the house because it is worthless.

4 of 5 Sansa c250 Thursday, January 15, 2009
Satisfied from Conroe, Texas
Straightforward, simple MP3 player. No need for the gyrations involved in using an iPod, or, I presume, a Zune. Syncs just fine with Windows Media Player. Sound perfectly adequate for casual listening, even with the simple headphones provided. Would have been nice to get the manual - an electronic version could easily be put in the internal memory.

5 of 5 Sansa c250 media player Thursday, January 15, 2009

Works as advertised. I purchased a recertified model on the cheap and was satisfied enough with its performance that I bought another. Firmware is upgradable. Doubt I would pay the going price for a new one though.

5 of 5 Works With MACs!!! Thursday, January 15, 2009
JJ from Hammonton, NJ
This Sansa 2gb MP3 player connects to my iMac like a flash drive via a supplied USB cable. It also charges through the USB cable, too. It's easy to use. Just need to drag and drop your music albums from your Itunes library. After disconnecting, make sure the player "Refreshes Database." This message will show up on the screen. That was my biggest concern whether it worked with Apple products. It didn't come with an instruction manual, but was easy enough to figure out. For the price ($17), this is an unbelievable value. I bought this to listen to music through my car stereo system and rid my car of all the xtra cds. The sound quality is fine.

5 of 5 Sandisk MP3 players Thursday, January 15, 2009
Sandisk Fan from Springfield, VA
This is my fourth Sandisk MP3 player I have purchased. They all are great units and perform excetionally well for the price. The Micro SD expansion slot is amazing and allows for an incredible library of music, movies etc. I have never owned an Ipod and as long as I can purchase Sandisk units for under $100.00 and less I never will own an Ipod. This unit was an amazing deal for less than $17.00 with shipping.

4 of 5 Embrace the Refurb Wednesday, January 14, 2009
A Customer from Acworth, GA.
Always skeptical of a refurbished electronic item, for the extraordinarily low price I took a chance. Not a high-end unit, but more than worth the price of admission. Also purchased an on-sale 2GB micro-SD card to double the memory of this unit, and holds plenty now. I use it for music only. The postage stamp sized screen, coupled with the necessary reduced resolution of downloaded photos, makes it woefully inadequate for viewing photos. With that being said, my only real complaint is the screen contrast is not adjustable quite enough. The selection marker is not particularly easy to see, but once you find it, navigation is not a problem. Very satisfied with the deal.

5 of 5 More than worth the 15$ if it works right Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Hari from Chicago, Illinois
I got a replacement for my mine as the audio jack had problems on the first one. The replacement works fine. The FM receiver could be better, but considering the other features and the 15$ net price, I still think it is worth the price. There is an elegant 'R' stamp to indicate that it is refurbished. Cheers

5 of 5 I am pleased overall! Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Al Key from Milton, DE
I purchased a sansa mp3 player (refurbished) and it did not work! Buy.com was very prompt in return shipping, etc. Eventually I received the replacement which is fine! Service was great! My only gripe, which is a big one, is it took a really long time between you receiving the defective one and shipping the second one! In fact, I did not get any followup until I contacted Buy.com and told them to forget it and refund my money!

4 of 5 Sansa c250 Review Tuesday, January 13, 2009

5 of 5 Great Product! Tuesday, January 13, 2009
A Customer from Lyndhurst, Ohio
I bought my Sansa C250 in early November; it was my first MP3 player. It's very easy to use - I use it daily - and I have had no problems with it. I like it so much that I bought a Sansa Fuze from Buy.com when they were on sale for $49.00 at Thanksgiving! I use the Fuze primarily for audio books and it too is a great product.

2 of 5 Bought 2 units and returned both for fix Tuesday, January 13, 2009
jim from jacksonville, florida
I bought two refurb units. One was not functional right out of the box with screen display issues. I shipped back both units to the warranty people listed on the ad. The other worked very nicely for about 2 weeks and then would only play through one channel. If the warranty people fix both units and they don't fail again. I will be happy. Nice unit if it works. For this price you cannot expect not to have problems.

4 of 5 Great Price Tuesday, January 13, 2009
A Customer from Spring Branch, TX
I bought 2 of these during Christmas and they work great. The only problem is the small screen. It is about half the size of my e250. If you have very good eye site you can't go wrong at 15.00 apiece.

5 of 5 Sandisk Sansa c250 2GB MP3 Player Friday, December 26, 2008
LamSV from Houston TX
Bought 4 units as Christmas gifts. Very small and portable. Easy to drag and drop music files from Windows to c250. Nice FM tuner included. Voice recorder comes in handy for taping meetings. Battery power lasts very long. Great product. Even though recertified, c250 came like new but without original packaging and no lanyard.

5 of 5 Wonderful Find Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Scott from Bloomington, IL
I bought a refurb model as a present to myself while buying a present for my wife. I am very pleased with the unit. This is the first dedicated MP3 player I have owned. I used my smartphone and PDA as psudo MP3 players up until now, but I was never happy having to manage my battery so I could still use the PDA or make phone calls. The interface is basic, but gets the job done. The sound quality is great once I ditched the supplied head phones. I love that I don't have to use iTunes to sync, the battery is replaceable, FM tuner, and you can add a micro SD card for extra memory. Take that Apple. iWhat? One work of caution though. My battery cover said it was a v2 device, but my firmware was v1. So check the software before you try to Rockbox. I can't wait until latest Sansa MP3 players become old and destined for the refurb market. I will buy another one in a heartbeat.

5 of 5 Excellent product. Current version does not suppo Saturday, November 22, 2008
Jim from Holmdel, NJ
I just purchased half a dozen of these for christmas gifts. Just checked out one and found it to be an excellect product. For $15, it is an excellent value! Previous postings stated that these referbished units could run Rockbox. Unfortunately the one I just recieved was one of the more recent 3.x versions of the c250. These versions are not currently supported by Rockbox. The good news is that they do support Audible (which the older units do not).

5 of 5 Good Cheap MP3 Player Friday, November 14, 2008
Jon from Middleton, WI
I got this baby as a refurb for 20 bucks, and I have been really pleased. One thing that made this thing even better was the Rockbox open source software I installed on it (over the sansa software) It allows you to play m4as and other audio files. It has a lot more functionality such as bookmarking for audio books and the like. So far the hardware has held up beautifully. And at 15 dollars... this is a steal!

5 of 5 Great player for the money Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Marsha V. W. from Spartanburg, SC
I purchased this player because my old iPod is too large to carry when exercising. This little player is small enough to carry, but has a screen (whick the iPod Shuffle lacks). I was able to create several playlists in Windows Media Player 11 by dragging music directly from iTunes. I also purchased a micro SD card, giving me a total of 4gb. I'm able to put all my workout music plus several audiobooks on the player. The flash memory doesn't skip when running. The screen is too small to do photos justice, but I have put on a few pics using the Sansa Media converter (downloaded from Sansa.com). Overall, a good player at a great price.

5 of 5 great sound and perfect size Friday, May 09, 2008
terry from New York
It took very little time to download and start using this little gem. The rechargeable battery seems to last a long time. What most pleases me is the sound which is superior to a few other MP3 players I have had. The display shows just enough info and is easy to follow. The record on the fly and FM radio complete an attractive package at a "steal" price.

5 of 5 Amazing bargain Wednesday, April 23, 2008
James from Herndon, VA
Considering the ridiculously low price, this is an insane bargain. I wanted a media player that, 1. could interface via simple drag and drop (no software interface, no OS specific requirements), 2. had a player capable of playing all formats of interest (I flashed to the rockbox firmware to ensure this), 3. had an FM tuner, 4. had voice recording capability, 5. had a decent database (kudos again to rockbox), 6. had a rechargeable battery (charges over USB = awesome), 7. had decent built-in storage, 8. had a common format expansion capability for additional storage (microSD in this case), 9. was small and affordable. I think it is will be pretty hard to find something of comparable capability particularly in light of cost. Highly recommend, especially for those not afraid of flashing the firmware and trying out rockbox. One note: I did have to first flash to an older firmware to enable MTP mode for loading rockbox. I found the post at this forum helpful for going through the process: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=c200&thread.id=2135

5 of 5 Worth every penny! Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Zebra-Rake from Alturas CA
Loaded up RockBox in 2 minutes. After load, plays flac, mpg's, mp3's, whatever you want. No DRM, thank the gods! Movies are quite small on this screen, but can still watch LOTR, etc. If you are just playing mp3's, just leave the original firmware on there. However, if you want quality playback at half the storage, use rockbox and play flac encoded files. CD quality! Hints: 1. Player must be off when plugging into usb port. (it then shows up as a hard drive) 2. Do not have your microSD chip installed when plugging into USB port. 3. Player must be re-started when unplugging from usb port. 4. Never try to 'update' to rockbox when you two identical players plugged into your usb ports. The only shortcoming, is that it only comes with a usb port to charge it, so, you must have a PC or laptop to charge it with. It is pretty functional, compact, and doesn't bite your wallet like an IPOD.

5 of 5 Gets better with Rockbox Tuesday, April 15, 2008
A Customer from Dallas, Tx
I used this for months and works great. I later found out about Rockbox which can play many music formats. Also it has games, apps, play videos, and able to use a 4gb mircosd card. If you want MSC mode (drag & drop), you have to downgrade to an old firmware. For more info about this in the Sandisk forums.

5 of 5 Astounding value for a great product Monday, April 14, 2008
Adrienne from Evanston, Il
I've been using my refurbished Sansa for a week, and it's completely met my expectations so far. It's very light and small, perfect for workouts. The sound quality and earphones are of better quality than I expected. I was able to transfer songs from Napster much quicker than I had been able to with my Creative Zen. I do echo other reviewers' experience with the backlighting being hard to see, but it's not a major drawback. Overall, an astoundign value.

5 of 5 It Really Does work! Sunday, April 06, 2008
A Customer from Schnecksville
I could not pass up this deal. I was looking for a simple mp3 player and was going to be satisfied with a non-display model, but this was much better. 2GB was plenty for me, and with the micro SD slots (up to 2GB each), I can keep on going. No manual, no problem. I figured out most of the functions before I downloaded the manual from SanDisk's web site. There were a lot of forums stating this would not connect, would not play, freeze, etc. I was ready to put it back into the box, but I plugged it in, XP Pro picked it up as a Sansa player, asked me if I wanted to open Media Player to view the music. Flawless! As with any subcompact device the buttons are tiny, but functional. The screen is easily readible even at 1 1/2". Can't beat the deal for $25. What have you got to lose?

5 of 5 Very good for the price Saturday, April 05, 2008
Milton Mass guy from Milton, Massachusetts
I bought it for my wife to replace her Ipod video for jogging because it's size and weight, have it for a month now, so far no problem. It starts up a bit slow, sound quality is good with 30$ Sony Fontobia headphone ( in custom EQ sound setting )but not that good like Ipod, but for 26$ nothing can beat that.
