5 of 5 Great value and easy to use Saturday, July 11, 2009 A Customer from FL
This is an excellent buy. It is very easy to use, and the radio is a pretty cool feature, just don't expect perfect reception. The battery lasts for quite a while too. Most importantly,
YOU CAN'T FIND A BETTER PRICE. Was this review helpful?

I bought this player ($15) with just 1gb of built in memory expecting I could use a 4gb or 8gb micro SD card. This is not the case.
This player does not support high capacity SD cards (4gb or larger).
Also, when you have a card with music in the player, it displays "refreshing database" message every time you turn it on so you have to wait for it. Doesn't take too long, but takes a bit.
The last peive I have is the volume defaults to the middle, instead of where you last left it. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 I have 3 of these, all are broken Friday, July 03, 2009 digitaltim from Ct
I bought 3 of these for 3 different people twelve dollars each. They all worked great for about a month. Now 2 of them have only one channel working on the headphones and the 3rd works intermittently. I would not purchase these refurbs again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great deal, son loves it Wednesday, February 18, 2009 warstyle from SA, TX
I had bought this for my 4 year old son. The wife has an Ipod nano and I have a 30gig Zune. My son was always wanting to listen to music from our players but does not always have the best music for a young one. So we thought he should have his own player and load the music for his age. He love mario bro's music and other gaming soundtracks (which I loaded). Very easy to load from XP or Vista machines, drag and drop always good, menu's are a little wierd at first but everything takes a little to get used to at first. Overall a great value and I wouldn't get mad if something happened to the player. Bought an adapter to charge from an outlet for $1.50 from another site. My son has had it over a week and knows how to find his music or listen to the FM tuner. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 good enough, not great, but definitely good enough Wednesday, February 18, 2009 Joe D. from Mechanicsburg, PA
v1 you can rockbox, but the mp3 player has a screen that gets jumbled if you connect it to the the usb, or when rockboxed, but it's solid. Good enough sound, good enough interface. No bookmarks, but it does remember the last thing you were listening to, so I have no issues with audiobooks.
Also, I have no problems listening to drm wma audiobooks. Good enough for 12 or so bucks, but it's not anything that absolutely love and I would regret if I lost it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product...Highly recommend Wednesday, February 18, 2009 A Customer from alabama
This was a great buy, easy to download, didn't come with a manual, but you don't really need one...tiny lil "R" 4(refurbished)on the back, the earbuds were white but that was
no problem, my kids love it!! Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great with rockbox Wednesday, February 18, 2009 Jeff from Utah
I bought this player for use with audiobooks but it doesn't do a good job remember where you were at. It does great as long as you don't switch what you are listening to. However I loaded RockBox onto it and now it does everything that I want--RockBox lets me bookmark my place within the books. The only downside to RockBox is it doesn't play DRM protected audiobooks from places like overdrive or netlibrary (the default software can play the files just fine with the mentioned drawback). I just run the files through an un-DRM process before I load them on. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 excellent product Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from CA

5 of 5 sansa c240 Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from dallas, tx
cheap, easy to use, nice looking, works as well as expected. The only problem is the backlighting is a little low, so it takes a little squinting when i scroll down the menu. Free shipping is even faster than other places. Buy a few, it's a no brainer. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Sansa C240 Excellent Value with Expandability Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from NY
If your not held by the latest fashion of MP3 players and want strictly an MP3 player, this unit is a great value at $12.99 for a refurb.
Pros - intuitive & easy operation, expandanbility via a removeable misco SD card drive, and drag/drop music loading
Cons - USB priority connect cable/port, Li ion battery chargeable via USB cable Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pretty good Monday, February 16, 2009 A Customer from West Bloomfield, MI
Got it for 12.99 and the next day they lowered the price to 10.99 lol oh well, it's still a great deal. It shipped as expected in bubble wrap. CD and manual weren't included. "REFURB" was on the back, the letters are glued on, it's removable but not too easy to do lol I just received it and so far nothing wrong with it, will update if it crashes on me next week :P Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 awesome deal, great device Sunday, February 15, 2009 A Customer from Florida
The sound quality was fine and it is easy to operate. You can simply drag n drop picture and song files to the device, which makes customizations easy. I enjoy that I can view photos on it too, though they have to be very small photos. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 THIS PRODUCT IS TERRIFIC! Saturday, February 14, 2009 A Customer from SAN FRANCISCO CA.
I BOUGHT THIS SANSA BECAUSE THE PRICE,THE QUALITY,ALSO I DON'T HAVE TO BUY AGAIN BATTERIES. I RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Neat, compact design Saturday, February 14, 2009 A Customer from Boston
A neat, ultra-compact design with removable memory. You can carry hundreds of hours of music on a few thumbnail size microSD cards. The only problem is labeling the cards and keeping track of them because they are so small. I've bought two of the players, placing one in my car with an FM adapter to play through the radio. It occupies about two square inches on the dashboard, held on with velcro. The small display and low contrast on the selection indicator makes it somewhat difficult to see but very good quality with good sounding ear buds at an unbeatable price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value & Great Sound Saturday, February 14, 2009 Cori from Olathe, KS
This little player sounds great. It didn’t come with a manual but was extremely easy to use and load. I really like having the option to listen to the radio. Great value. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Fantastic Saturday, February 14, 2009 Akong from CA
It came in a bubble wrap mini pocket which contained earphone and the cable which you plug into usb for charging. looks brand new. Cannot tell the difference if its *recertified or not. I love it. Fast shipping too but slow processing, probably due to high volume of orders for this price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 V2 Friday, February 13, 2009 SotY from IL
Mine came today but it's V2 so no Rockbox on it. On the back there is only chrome R letter not whole "refurbished" word. Was this review helpful?

Great product for the $, had for a month now and still going, even bought one for my friend. good quality sound, lots of fetures, easy to us. Would suggest buying a better pair of headphones, 20-25 dollars, no need for expensive pair, cheaper will work just as fine if not better. Was this review helpful?

I got one for myself and after it arrived and I charged and used it I got another. Second one is $2.00 cheaper but I still would've purchased at $12.99. Player looks like new and works well. Second is for my son who really likes it too. As always thanks Buy.com Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Buy! Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Selena from Lewistown, PA
This is one of the best buys out there. The player has a very user-friendly interface, and it sounds amazing. Add to that that it also as a MicroSD slot and it's small in size, make this player a great buy for anyone. Oh, and the price????? One word: UNBELIEVABLE! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great for "on hold" music for phone swit Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Jeff from Jacksonville, FL
I had just one purpose in mind for this device: provide 24/7 music for people "on hold" through our church's phone switch. (We had been burning up a CD player every year or two.) I ripped a couple of CD's, loaded them on the Sansa, set it to "repeat all", plugged the Sansa's USB cable into a $5 USB/AC adapter and now we have on hold music with no moving parts (i.e., no spinning CD).
I have no idea how well suited this device is for typical mp3 use but it's great for our purposes! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Darrel from Sullivan, IL
I bought this Sansa mp3 player for my wife. She has had no experience with mp3 players before but quickly learned how to operate this player. She loves it.... Thanks for a great product with a great price......$13 Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 excellent product Monday, February 09, 2009 A Customer from duarte, ca
This device rocks. I bought 2 of these. I had an issue with one of them where Vista would not access the device. I installed the latest firmware and everything is perfect. I would recommend this product as a very good buy/price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great deal for the price Monday, February 09, 2009 A Customer from Reseda, Ca
This MP3 player is as promised. It works great for my work situation. I was suprised at how good the sound quality is. I have a different Sansa for the gym so I was used to the features. It has frozen a couple of times but easily fixed by removing the battery (just slide off the backing). Over all I am very happy with my purchase and the price was great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 superb!!! Monday, February 09, 2009 A Customer from ms
its just amazing i got it for $13 ....its really cool. nice battery life nearly 10 hrs and godd quality sound Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pretty good deal. Monday, February 09, 2009 Ric from Kansas City, MO
I bought one for myself and one for my seven year old son. He absolutely loves his (mainly for the voice recordings he can do) and I really can't complain at all about mine. It is easy to use and the sound quality is actually pretty good through a good pair of headphones thanks to the built in eqaualizer. The earbuds that it came with are o.k. but they distort easily. I was especially drawn to the expandable memory feature. Overall, for $12 each, I can't imagine a much better deal. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 incredible deal/awesome value! Monday, February 09, 2009 Kim from New Richmond, WI
After ordering a refurbished Sandisk mp3 player for myself, I was soooo impressed! I then ordered 2 more for my kids (they love them). Recently, I ordered my 4th one for my husband. We have had NO problems with any, and the sound is great. Love the option of adding extra memory. We now have 4 high-quality, good as new mp3 players, for less than the cost of 1 retail! I'm thrilled with the service, cost, free shipping, need I go on? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 These VERSION 1 units are ROCKBOX capable! Friday, February 06, 2009 WileyM from Oregon
RockBox: http://www.rockbox.org/ Get it, install it, be amazed what you can do with these little players. I've got two of the refurbs. I haven't experienced any problems...whatsoever. Other than the gaudy "REFURBISHED" stamp on the back, the hardware seems brand new. AND THE PRICE HAS JUST BEEN DROPPED TO $10.99 !!! Good grief, don't miss getting a couple of these while they last. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not a bad one Thursday, February 05, 2009 A Customer from Wheeling
This is a good one - atleast as a spare MP3 player. However, beware that the letters REFURB are embossed on the back side of the player. Might I know that before, I would not have bought this. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 This is V1 = rockbox! Wednesday, February 04, 2009 Steven from Chicago
For those who care, this is version 1 so it can be Rockbox-ed!
The original firmware is very crappy. The highlighted menu tab when browsing is extremely difficult to see even in a dark room; I took it outside and when browsing the menus, I had no idea what option I was selecting.
The button setup may take some adjustment. It is not obvious like using an iPod since this mp3's buttons change consistency depending on which function (music, recorder, radio) you're using.
Overall, it has a lot of neat features. FM radio appears to be pretty clear and is useful when your own music gets boring. I have not tried voice recording but will do so eventually.
Note: When I bought this 2-3 weeks ago, I purchased it for 12.99. Now it is 10.99. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for the Price and easy Sunday, February 01, 2009 A Customer from Philadelphia,PA
I jsut got mine today and I love it already. It took some time to figure out how to install it to the computer.. FYI make it a (Removable Disk) not a (M) something that pops up. then you just click and drag music you want to it. It has great sound in the head phones, you get FM stations and can record song from it too.
Cons:
You can only recharge it through your USB.
The buttons take some time to figure out going up and down or right and left changes things. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Not a bad buy for the price.... Friday, January 30, 2009 A Customer from Jeannette, PA
Just received the device today and it is working as promised. Loaded on music and sounded great! FM radio works but reception can be limited depending on where you are listening. The specs say that it is Audible compatible, but it is not. I just tried to sync it with my Audible account and found that this version of the Sansa is NOT supported. Other than that, it is as promised. At this price, it would be great for kids as their first mp3 player! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great value but quirky charging Friday, January 23, 2009 A Customer from San Diego, CA
Maybe it was just this unit, what happened was it would not charge when simply plugged into even a powered USB hub. It would only charge when recognized by the computer. The charging meter would show it was charging when plugged into the USB port even when the battery was not inside! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent player for the price Friday, January 23, 2009 Jay from NY
Excellent player for such low price. I have the player for two weeks now and I love it. The sound is good and the earphones that come with it are also good quality (except they are not in-ear which I prefer). You won't be able to notice the difference between this refurbished model and a brand new one.
The player hung-up only once when I disconnected it from my PC. It also had a couple of minor temporary quirks. But everything got fixed when I restarted it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa c240 Tuesday, January 20, 2009 A Customer from Cadillac, MI
You really can't beat this deal from BUY.com for $13 and free shipping. The manual and software can be downloaded from the Sansa site. Compact, well-built, feels heavier than it looks.
I bought it mainly to listen to E-books and podcasts. It doesn't do bookmarking with the built-in firmware, but Rockbox has those features and is free. Hint: use the manual install instructions, not the auto-install. Rockbox makes the player even more versatile.
The description says it uses AAA batteries but it has a proprietary Li-on battery pack that snaps off the back, like a cellphone. You can buy replacements and install them easily when they go bad. I also bought an AC charger and a car charger cord from another site for just a few bucks each as I will be using this a lot when recharging from a computer is not available for days. 5 of 5 Awesome Deal! Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Renee from Haughton, LA
Purchased one of these for my 10 year old son as a Christmas present. No instruction manual with it but didn't need it. Available online if I ever do find that I need help. Easy to load with Windows Media Player. Ear buds went in the trash but I didn't keep the ones that came with my Zen either. Great product at a great price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Buy Monday, January 19, 2009 Charlie from Lavalette,WV.
This is one of the best buys I have made for a while. The SanDisk Player does everything they say it will, only problem is, no owners manual ,but it is downloadable from website . Grat Buy again from Buy.Com. Thanks Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Sunday, January 18, 2009 Erika from Grandview, WA

4 of 5 Great Player, when your iPod dies... Sunday, January 18, 2009 Ben Cooper from Sarasota, Fl
I purchased 2 of these for my children, and found what a great bargain they are. Once the firmware was updated it worked nearly perfectly. I wound up buying 2 more for my wife and I, after her iPod quit again (second one). The expandable Micro SD slot works great. My wife can take hers directly from her LG Scoop (with pics and music) and put it directly in her MP3 player. Piece of cake. Strongly recommend this price. Was this review helpful?
