5 of 5 Nice little drives Thursday, May 14, 2009 A Customer from Foster City, CA
I use this to store music for my car stereo (car stereo has USB input) I like these because they don't have the U3. I've reformatted using NTFS and the stereo didn't recognize the drive so I reformatted again using FAT32 and all is fine. I did discover that the music transfer to the drive formatted as NTFS took about 5 times longer than when it was formatted FAT32.

5 of 5 Sandisk amongst the best Sunday, September 07, 2008 Steve from New Hampshire
I've always used Sandisk Jump Drives, but I didn't like their built-in U-3 program. It would create two drives on my system, but only one on my wife's. This comes without the U-3 program, and their website now has the tool to remove the U-3 from older models and restore them to regular jump drives. The result is more speed, more disk space and you can safely unplug it without having to use Windows Safe Removal Tool. One tiny annoyance, I prefer the retractable style instead of the cap, but I can live with that. One way they could improve that is to make the cap a bright color instead of clear. When I remove it and set it down, I have to hunt for it on my desk. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Capacity at a Great Price & Size! Monday, August 25, 2008 A Customer from Marshall, Texas
I bought this to replace my 512MB Centon flash drive that died recently, and costed double what I paid for the 8GB Cruzer Micro.
As a student and tech enthusiast, I needed something that I could carry with me by my keychain to transfer documents, pictures, songs and so on. The 8GB Cruzer Micro came to the rescue. The Cruzer Micro is about the height of my thumb, and the thickness of about half my index finger. It truly is a thing of marvel when compared to my old flash drive. Great capacity and price from a brand you can trust. Reiterating some points: No software included, throbs slowly while idling, and blinks when transferring files. No hassle and does its job right out of the box. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great price, huge capacity and small size Monday, August 25, 2008 Matt from Lincoln, NE
Pretty good little jump drive. I bought 2 when they were on sale, 1 for me and 1 for my girlfriend. They work just like advertised and are really small, much smaller than the pictures detail. It doesnt have the U3 software installed, which is pretty much useless, and frees up more space. The drive is pretty quick, write and read speed. DONT expect it to break any speed records for flash drives, but it is definitely quick enough for video, music and all my IT files. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great buy Thursday, August 21, 2008 romellosoul from Bear, DE
After an exhausting review for a good 4gb memory card, I came upon this 8gb sandisk; again, more research. I'm extremely happy with it! No noticeable 'super' speed but, not slow either. Does not come with any apps loaded but, found out I could download u3 for free at their website. Since I'm basically using it for music/movie transfer, I'm not concernced with apps, such as, security/password. I like the compact size as it allows me to also use my 1gb kingston at the same time. The glowing light is cool too. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Awesome USB flash drive Saturday, July 19, 2008 David from Dallas, TX
I compared this Sandisk and a Memorex and this one was a lot cheaper for an 8 GB model. I'm not too fond of the light on this one. It's on the back of my laptop so I don't see it that often, but I wouldn't put it on the side. The green light will fade in and out even when it's not being accessed. Plus, it's brighter than the Memorex one (flashing blue).
I wanted a plain, empty USB flash drive and this is exactly what I got. I don't want U3 or any other stuff preloaded. This comes completely empty with no software. Good. I don't carry it in my pocket or anywhere so I can't comment on anything there. Overall, it's a great flash drive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Really Good Dimensions Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Hmmm from Fort Worth, Texas
I like the physical size of several previous Cruzer Micros w/ smaller capacities that I've been using for years. Small, thin, feels good in your hand, doesn't take up space in your pocket or your desk drawer w/o being too small to grip and use effectively. Don't know about the throbbing green LED - kinda interesting. Hoping for a 16Gb one some day. All of the Cruzer Micros that I use are a little on the slow side, including this newest one, otherwise I'd have given it a 5 on Performance. If it were 10$ less it would be a 5 on Value. I bought this because I like the physical size of the Cruzer Micro 1GB I bought a couple years ago. It's still going strong; I just wanted one with a larger capacity. I've had no problems under moderate use. This 8GB version has a light that "throbs" while it's plugged in rather than remaining steadily lit (maybe to make you notice and remember to take it with you?). It blinks to indicate read/write activity but throbs while idling. It came with no software and it's formatted as one drive instead of two like the U3 system, which is fine with me.
