5 of 5 Macintosh friendly switchblade storage! 4/15/2009
richpee from Maryland
As expected, SanDisk makes another fine product. It's been in my pocket for about a year and still working strong.
I have had other thumb drives that have a removable cap, which I'm always afraid of losing. I love the fact that the connector slides back into the housing. It's also slim, but with a tiny bit of heft. (the non-titanium model is lighter, if you swing that way)
I was a bit irritated by the Windows bigotry -- the presumption that I would want the U3 apps on an otherwise pristine device ... but then I discovered a SanDisk app ("cruzer utilities," available from the SanDisk website) which will get rid of that odious partition on the device, which should make my Macintosh-using brethren happy.
4gb is enough to carry a couple of feature-length movies (assuming 700mb) and a buttload of work.

5 of 5 Excellent USB Drive 4GB 2/26/2009
from Morton Grove, IL.
This USB drive is extremely helpful certain situation such as backing up files from the computer, saving video files, document files, and any other applications can be transferred to a 4GB USB flash drive, however since this is a Titanium Drive it won't break since it has a hard cover. This USB drive was really helpful to me.

5 of 5 Excellent USB Drive 7/2/2008
from Austin, TX
I've had this USB drive for about a month now and have used it every couple of days. The drive is fast and reliable. The U3 programs are also very handy when being away from my desktop. I like being able to keep important documents with me. I keep it on my key chain at all times now. Excellent product at an excellent price (Bought mine at $21.99). Thank you BUY DOT COM!

4.7 of 5 First USB Drive: Slim and sexy 6/25/2008
streetphotos from Chicago,IL
This is a great drive for the price after the recent sale. Tough metal case and cool blue light when plugged in. Great transfer speeds!
Some Minor points:
-- When the USB plug port is retracted I wish there were some covering for the exposed end. Seems like a pocket lint/dust/etc could foul the plug.
-- When you slide the device open the lock could be more secure
-- The blue light when it is plugged in and powered us is cool but I wish there was an option to turn it off.
-- I would like to carry this on my keychain but the included ring seems really flimsy.

5 of 5 Awesome!! 6/22/2008
from Sheboygan, WI
Gotta love it. I keep it on my keychain. All of my previous flash drives easily broke when they were connected to my keys for a period of time. this thing can really take a beating. The only thing i wish was made better is the small key ring that is provided to attach it to keys. I think it may stretch out and break easily. other than that, VERY recommended, especially from buy.com

5 of 5 Awesome SanDisk Flash Drive 6/20/2008

Love the titanium casing and the flash drive works well, even on Vista. U3 Software is awesome and keeps your flash drive password protected. Overall, very satisfied with this flash drive.

4.3 of 5 Robust USB drive 6/18/2008
from Philadelphia, PA
This is my third Cruzer Titanium, I actually use it with the U3 software and I am very happy with it. The solid construction should ensure your files are protected no matter whether you drop this or have it on your keychain.

4.7 of 5 Extremely tough and sturdy casing 6/18/2008
Max Boost from NYC
Extremely durable especially since I attach this to a load of keys I have in my pocket. Never have to worry about losing a cap since this slides in and out. Didn't find the included software useful so had to get that removed but might come in handy for others. Overall solid product and would highly recommend it for anyone who needs a rugged USB thumbdrive!!!

5 of 5 Sandisk's Best 6/18/2008
Ben from SFV, CA
First off, this flash drive is way better than the standard black plastic Sandisk flash drive I used to have. Not only is the construction more solid, but the performance is much better as well. As far as U3 software is concerned.... well I like it! It only takes 15-30 secs to load, and the Password Protection is worth the small extra wait. At the most, it takes a minute to get into this drive (w/password).

5 of 5 What's not to like? 6/18/2008
from Tucson, AZ
Certainly the indestructible case is a key feature. Speed is much better than cheaper USB drives I have owned. I've had no problems with the slider locking and working correctly, but it's only been two weeks. I carry a drive on my key chain and previous units have cracked and broken - I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this titanium "bank vault".

5 of 5 Sandisk is the best 6/18/2008
from Eugene, OR
I had previously used the Cruzer Micro in the black plastic case. It worked without flaw for years, surviving on my keychain through countless roadtrips, flights, and daily bicycle commutes. The titanium version seems just as rugged, if a little heavier. It has a blue light instead of orange. I never got the hang of the U3 system, but SanDisk now includes the U3 removal tool pre-installed on the drive. Very nice. I don't leave home without it.

5 of 5 A+ Awesome product 6/18/2008
from Clarkston, MI
This is the most durable feeling, heaviest and most secure USB flash drive I have ever purchased. I currently have about 8 flash drives that I use regularly and I am moving almost totally to the Cruzer Titanium. I love the solid feel, fast speed, and good looks of this unit. Worked right out of the box. I don't use the readyboost or the pre-installed software, but kept it installed incase I do want it later...and it allows you to make those decisions quickly and easily. Highly recommend this drive...pay a little more, but it doesnt feel cheap and plastic like most other drives, very professional, heavy and durable. Probably weighs 2X a plastic drive though...slider works fine for me. I don't know what other people are talking about.

You can't go wrong buying it. It works great and it feels well built. Something to keep in mind: the ReadyBoost works only with Vista.

4.3 of 5 Great ThumbDrive but not perfect! 6/17/2008
Al C. from Doral, FL
I've bought 3 previous Cruzer drives and have always enjoyed upgrading when Buy.com puts them on special. The transfer speed is great, but the software is suspect, because sometimes it just doesn't let you eject the drive. The other problem is the slider, which I love because it hides away, but it also makes it a pain to insert to the USB plug about half the time. I wish it would hold a little more pressure before sliding back in.

3.3 of 5 OK overall but bad form factor 6/17/2008
from Albany, NY
Don't like the form factor at all. Plastic slider feels weak and insecure inside the nice titanium. After you slide it out, sometimes it "locks", sometimes it doesn't. Try to push it into an awkwardly placed USB port, and it often slides back into it's own case... rather than into the port. Usually need to keep your finger on the plastic slider to keep it from going back into the base. Depending where you try to plug it in, it ranges from easy to almost impossible to use.

5 of 5 Fantastic Product 4/28/2008
from Albuquerque, NM
WOW! ReadyBoost improves the already fast Vista. Also works with 98SE and XP operating systems and slower USB ports. Remove the U3 and you will be completely satisfied. Had to remove U3 while plugged into an XP computer. Couldn't remove U3 with Vista.

5 of 5 Works Great 4/20/2008

I wanted a USB stick that would last, does not have a cap this is bound to get lost, and is different enough from all the others that I will always know that it is mine. After removing the U3 software it worked great.

5 of 5 Great Flash Drive! 4/14/2008
Marc from Chicago, IL
I'm not really sure why this product jumped over 10 dollars since I purchased it, not that I'm complaining. However at the price point I paid (29.99) it was a fantastic value and a great product.
Even at $40 this is still a great value considering it's 4gb, solid exterior(not really titanium), and no caps to mess with!
U3 is a pretty nifty software, albeit I have not had a ton of time to play around with it I can see a lot of potential for fun/practicality to it.
I would definately consider this product if you're in the market for a flash drive.

5 of 5 Very nice 3/16/2008
from New Jersey
I wish it would scratch resistant but I don't think it is. Not a good idea to keep it in your key chains. Data transfer is much faster than Kingston that I've bought previously. No big deal about ready boost when you can disable autorun. I like it alot for the price and free shipping.

2.3 of 5 USB 2.0 backward compatability--NOT 3/11/2008
from St. Louis, MO
In addition to what I mentioned before, the drive I recieved also would not work in a USB port older than 2.0 Any time you inserted it into an older port, it would just 'hang' the computer until you removed it. This was tried on 3 different computers.

4.7 of 5 Great product! 3/11/2008
from Chicago, IL
Pros: easy to use, just plug in and it works. I love having Firefox on my cruzer for private surfing and leaving no cache record on the computer. Other programs available. Plenty of space for storage. Looks cool!
Cons: Slightly pricey, but worth it. Be careful not to lose it!

4.3 of 5 Rugged Road Warrior 1/31/2008
M. Robson from Lancaster, SC
This is the USB key to buy if you are one of those people who carry their key with them everywhere. It is virtually indestructible. And Buy.com's price is great. My only complaint keeping me from giving it 5 ratings across the board is the annoying U3 software that is built in. It is pretty useless and occasionally keeps you from removing the key safely. The U3 software can't be removed or disabled from the key. It automatically installs itself on the PC when you first use it on any computer (including your bosses computer when you are sharing a powerpoint presentation with him... Grr)

5 of 5 Built like a TANK!!!!!!! 1/26/2008
Mark from Jacksonville, FL
I have owned a countless number of usb keys and none have lasted as long as the Sandisk titanium. I have a Sandisk micro too which is the same size as the titanium and it feels like a cheap plastic toy compared to it. This key is much heavier then most but is so well built. Its transfer speed is good for a usb key. If you need a excellent durable key this is a great price.

5 of 5 Great product... 11/28/2007
RAM from Alexandria, LA
This is a great product. The titanium body makes it almost indestructible by crushing forces, the softwares they pre download in it made it look like you have a mini computer. And I like the fact that you can choose to delete the program and just have an ordinary flash drive and the option to reinstall it again if and when you choose. And you have several softwares to choose from: antivirus to protect your data when you hook up to a public computer, it is password protected, dictionary even, games if you're that bored, and a lot more. And these softwares are designed not to take up that much space. Although I would recommend a minimum of 4 gb if you want the whole deal. It's not lightning fast but it's fast enough...all in all this product is not just great it has style.

5 of 5 Pocket Computer, just need host! 11/28/2007
TwiCor from Lee's Summit, Missouri
This is my 5th Titanium Cruzer and I've been using them for over 2 years. I love 'em all, but I've got to say, this one is the one I use ALL the time. Used daily for over 3 months on XP, Vista, and Server 2003 machines with no problems. U3 is great and the latest version works fine. I use several U3 based apps and they are with me no matter where I log in. I am a network manager and log into multiple physical locations every day. The Cruzer is very quick. Some sticks may be faster, but you can hardly notice the difference (I have 2 that are the fastest currently made). This thing has been dropped, carried in a pocket with change, and xrayed at the airport a dozen times with no adverse effects.
All in all, this is the ONLY USB stick I recommend to anyone.

4.7 of 5 Lives up to it's name...great product 11/27/2007
Rich P. from Walnut Creek, CA
I did a lot of research for the best 4GB drive around and based on what I read the SanDisk Cruzer got the best ratings overall. I was looking to buy the Micro but found a better deal on buy.com for the Titanium and decided to go for it.
The only reason I gave it a 4 on ease of use is because there have been several occasions where the drive was difficult to plug into a USB connection. There is very little give when it comes to plugging it in, I guess do to the sturdiness of it.
It also gets hotter then other drives I’ve owned, not sure if that will cause it wear out faster, I hope not.
This has been my first experience with the U3 software and I think it's an excellent idea for students but so far I haven't really used it except to play a few games.
My home laptop has vista on it and I've been able to plug and play easily, also with my XP machine. It causes a blue screen from time to time on my work laptop but I think it's the image on my laptop not the Cruzer causing it.

5 of 5 Very nice buy!! 11/27/2007
from Chippewa Falls, WI
This product was definatly a smart choice on my part. I orginally had the 4gb Cruzer that was all plastic, but went with this one for durability purposes. I have stepped on this flash drive, stomped on it, and have run over it with a car. (A little excessive I know!) The thing is extremely durable. Very high transfer rates. Great Buy!

5 of 5 Nice USB Drive 11/27/2007
from Austin, Tx
This 4 gig USB drive comes pre-loaded with software that can easily be removed. The nice thing about it is the retractable business end that slips in or out with a little pressure from your thumb. It's a little hefty, and I like that. I also like the cool blue activity light. If your 1 gig thumb drive gets filled up too quickly, this 4 gig drive will satisfy your need for more capacity. All my windows XP laptops and desktops recognized it immediately, and that makes it easy to move data back and forth. It's a joy to use. At this price point it's real deal!

5 of 5 Perfect! 9/27/2007
from Alameda, CA
This Titanium is great. It's smaller in size than the old Titaniums yetfar bigger in capacity. It's beautiful yet tough enough to pocket everyday w/spare change, and besides having U3 also has ReadyBoost for the ill-fated Vista. Great price at buy.com besides.

5 of 5 Love it 9/26/2007
from New Albany, IN
I have had no problems with the flash drive. I love the way you can put portable apps on it and not have to worry about data being stored on a public computer if you use them. I like to see how other people use them on the U3 website. www.u3.com I am a photographer and I use multiple computers. It is nice to have a portable FTP program to take with me wherever I need it.
I would suggest this product.
